The steps to the beach have been washed away with high surf (10/30/19), so it is best to walk to the park about a block away to walk on the beach. The condo associatation is working to replace the steps. The Kanai A Nalu resort is centrally located on the southwest side of Maui at the beginning of a pristine beach that runs for 3.5 miles (or more) uninterrupted to the north end of Kihei. Our 3rd floor corner unit is a prime location on the quiet side of the complex (one of only 4 such units). It offers spectacular panoramic views of Haleakala (volcano), Molokini, other islands, and the south shore of Maui (from North Kihei to Wailea and beyond). You can fall asleep to the sound of gentle surf and wake to a glorious Maui sun rising over the 10,000 foot Haleakala volcano.
