Hale Mokulele Studio is not a shared space with anyone else. Private entrance and private Lanai. A first floor level Studio sleeps 2 guests. There is a queen size bed with Bamboo Sheets. All linens are provided and there are plenty of them!!brbrQuaint and Island style, my downstairs Studio sleeps 2 guests. There is a queen size bed, two comfortable chairs to view the flat screen Smart TV, and WiFi access. You will have a mini refrigerator (with a real freezer), microwave, coffee maker, hot water pot, and toaster. You’ll find utensils, dishware, and glassware. I also provide linens galore, and included are beach towels along with beach chairs, large beach umbrella, boogie boards, and various sizes of ice chests. The Lanai area has a table and chairs for outside dining, and is cool and private. You have access to the fabulous tiled Pool and Jacuzzi at SANDPIPER VILLAGE. The BBQ is in the private pool area. Do to HOA house rules, There is no cooking allowed in the Studio, However, warming up food in the micro wave is OK.brbrSandpiper Village is located in the heart of Princeville just steps away from the scenic walking path that runs through Princeville (2 miles) from the shopping center, to Hideaways Beach Path, at the end of Kahaku Road. Perfect for a morning walk to the shopping center or evening stroll to watch the sunset. This path boasts stunning views of mountains with cascading waterfalls in the rainy season, a world class golf course, breathtaking sunsets, access to a public beach and whale watching opportunities.brbrThe Princeville Shopping Center is conveniently located less than a mile from Sandpiper Village and it features restaurants, a grocery store, gas station and plenty of shopping. Princeville is perched upon the cliffs adjacent to the breath taking Napali Coast, and close to World Class Beaches, such as Hanalei Bay. The Private Community of Princeville is in itself a spectacular area.brbrDirections to Princeville and HALE MOKULELE in Sandpiper Village. Check-in 4 PM/Check-out 11 AM:brTurn right (north) as you do final exit of airport at the stop light, Princeville is a one hour drive.brbrThe speed limit changes rapidly. Keep an eye on the Limit Signs. The fastest you can ever go is 50, and mostly it is 40 and 25 through Kapaa and the other little places to pass through before you reach The North Shore. The drive at night takes a little nerve if you do not know the curves and side streets. There is a 30 mph down the hill over Kalihiwai Bridge. This bridge goes over the Kalihiwai River. You’ll come to this shortly after you pass through Kilauea. Be Safe!brbrIf you are coming in at night, the streets are well lit along Ka Haku Road, which is the main street though the resort. Follow Ka Haku Road and turn right at Pepelani Loop. There is a large sign on the corner which says “Sandpiper Village”. The very first right will bring you into the parking lot. More specific directions, as to the unit number, will be sent prior to your arrivalbr brIf you have been to Kauai before, this is merely a refresher course. If it is your first visit, I hope this helps make your trip a bit easier. The door will be open and the key on top of the micro wave in a wooden bowl (just inside the front door). The door will have a WELCOME sign to help guide you. brbrParking Familiarization for Sandpiper Village/Hale Mokulele:brThe property has Unmarked Guest Parking.brThere are Reserved Spaces and these are marked with the Unit Number.brThere are two parking areas. One an immediate right hand turn off of Kahaku Road on Pepelani Loop, and the second a right hand turn off of Albert Road (a right hand turn off of Pepelani Loop 1/2 block). You can only turn right!brbrBasically, there is a FRONT and a BACK parking area where you will find Guest Parking.brbrHousekeeping:brAt this time of uncertainty and stress, we want to help keep your travel plans alive by offering a super clean environment as has always been offered. I stand by using H2o2 on every surface (including door knobs) as a non toxic cleaner. At 3%, you can dilute it to 1 ½% and it will still do the job. brI wanted you to know that I am continuing to care about cleanness and keeping us all healthy. The housekeeping at Hale Mokulele is taken very seriously. I was a Flight Attendant and stayed in many hotels. It was always a nice feeling to walk into a hotel room and immediately see that it had a sparkle. I recently did some painting inside and out to freshen up the look. These are the levels / layout of Home of the Opening Flower:brLEVEL 1. The driveway, the sidewalk leading to the house, and the front porch area, as well as front lawn, are all at ground level. There is a small step-up totaling about 2 or 3 inches, from the ground level front porch, thru the front door of the home, into the entry hall. The front entry hall, kitchen and dining areas, and Bedroom #4 - which overlooks the front gardens and yard, plus the hall bathroom, are all on the same entry level. The shower in the hall bathroom has a built-in corner bench (as do the other bathrooms). The step-over from hall bathroom floor, into the shower, is about six inches. The entry hall, and all of the areas that adjoin it, except for the fourth bedroom, do have an ocean view. Presently, dining chairs and a bench are situated on the entry level. While we definitely encourage you to get out of the villa, you don't have to leave the couch to enjoy the unbelievable beauty of the island.brbrThe Palm Treehouse (#30) Layout:brbrThe villa comfortably accommodates up to six guests with its 1,600 sq. ft. and two-story traditional Hawaiian design. Upon entry, you'll walk into the upper level, which has the half bath, covered lanai, beach supply closet, and living area. The kitchen was recently renovated and updated to include more small appliances (e.g., blender, rice cooker, coffee maker). And the refrigerator now offers filtered water, ice cubes and Sonic-style crushed ice! Downstairs on the lower level, you'll find the laundry closet, two full baths, three bedrooms, and another covered lanai off of the Master. The Master has a King mattress, and the other two have Queen mattresses. While the villa does not have A/C, there are ceiling fans, area fans, screen doors, louvered windows and bamboo shades throughout. Plus, the villa's location is conducive to the flow of ocean trade winds, which keep the home comfortable and refreshing.
