The Garden island is chock full of nooks and crannies that you'll need wheels to get to so it's best to rent while here. The bus IS a pretty wild experience if you decide to go that route. You'll get to meet the locals but don't plan on using the bus on a tight schedule... Once it took me nearly ALL DAY to get to Lihue from Princeville when doing some test rides.

This charming, affordable, and clean little unit is one of the few free-standing units within the Paniolo Complex. It is situated in a quieter area, as it faces the Prince Golf Course rather than the street. Being a single-level unit, there are no neighbors above to create noise. brThe unit features a lanai that overlooks the golf course, a California King bed, a full bathroom, and a kitchenette equipped with an apartment-sized refrigerator. Most days, a lovely breeze from Anini Beach flows through the unit. Given that this side of the island tends to be cooler, we have never needed air conditioning, as the standing fans provide ample comfort.
