We are on the 2nd and 3rd floor of a three story building with amazing ocean views. The master bedroom is on the 3rd floor away from the main living area and overlooks the ocean. Cool ocean breezes come through the screened windows and you can hear the waves crashing. brbrThis condo is privately owned, it is not a time share. When you rent this condo you are staying in our vacation home, not an investment property. Therefore you will have use of our personal beach stuff, saving you hundreds of dollars not having to rent beach chairs, snorkels, umbrellas, ice chests and boogie boards during your stay.brbrYou can instantly book our condo by paying directly to VRBO. A down payment of 30% is due at time of booking, 35% due 90 days before your trip and balance due 60 days before your trip. Stays longer than 30 days require mid stay cleanings every two weeks at a cost of $345.00 each. This allows the housekeeper to change out the bedding and towels, vacuum the carpets, clean the windows, and inspect for leaks and damage. brbrKaha Lani means Heavenly Place which describes this beach front resort perfectly. It's like no other resort on Kauai. Surrounded by large grassy areas, this Bali Style Resort is breath taking. It sits behind a beautiful, undeveloped, white sand beach that is only 150 steps away from your front door. You can walk miles along this quiet beach sometimes without seeing another person. This is a perfect place to take pictures of the amazing sunrises. The resort also has a heated pool overlooking the ocean with Tiki Lights that are lit every night at sunset. There are two barbecue grills by the pool, great for cooking your meals outside. There is a tennis court. A beautiful well maintained golf course is right next door, that is reasonable priced. (Wailua Golf Course). A great bike/walking path is directly in front of the resort that leads to Lydgate Beach Park, a great place for kids to play in the protected lagoon an learn how to snorkel. They will also love the awesome playground. You can rent bikes in Kapa'a nearby or have them delivered to the condo. There is a bike rack directly behind our condo. brbrKaha Lani Resort is centrally located so you are close to all the famous Kauai sights, yet you feel away from everything the moment you drive into the spacious , tropical resort. Positioned between the Wailua Golf Course and Lydgate Beach Park, the resort is very private. You aren't surrounded by other resorts fighting for a spot on the beach, yet you are a short drive from all the activities. The Wailua River is one mile North of the condo. This is were you can launch off in a kayak to visit Secret Falls or take a river cruise to the Fern Grotto. Right on the shores of the Wailua River sits the Coco Palms Resort that Elvis Presley made famous in the film Blue Hawaii. The hurricane Iniki shut the resort down in 1992, but it is still nice to drive past and imagine what it was like in 1961 when the movie was filmed. The Wailua Waterfall, also shown in the film, is a short drive up the nearby country road. It can be viewed from the road and is a great place to take photos. A few adventurous travelers even hike to the bottom of the falls and swim in the fresh water pool. Opoeka'a Falls is about 3 miles from the condo. You can view it from the road. Depending on the recent rainfall it may have one, two or even three falls coming over the side. The quaint town of Kapa'a is a few miles North of the condo. This is a great place to stroll for hours checking out the many shops and restaurants.brbrKaha Lani 216 is in building 5, on the second and third floor of a three story building. 980 square feet of private space, including two lanai's (patios). It is a quiet, very bright, end unit. There are only six units in this building. The two units connected by the wall to the right only go up two floors, so your third floor master bedroom doesn't share a wall with another unit, making it very quiet. You can view the ocean from the third floor master bedroom windows, making it a great place to watch the passing whales during winter months. It has a new queen size memory foam bed. A private bathroom is also on the third floor with a large shower. brbr The second bedroom and second bathroom are on the second floor with the rest of the living areas. The second bedroom has a new king size memory foam bed. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower combo. brbr The living room has a new memory foam queen size hide away sleeper sofa. brbr There are two lanai's.(patios). One facing the ocean and white sand beach and another facing the mountains. There is plenty of free parking right outside the unit. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make meals, except groceries which you can purchase at Safeway a few miles North of the condo. There are three flat screen TV's, internet and wifi. In the living room we have a new Smart TV allowing you to access your own online movie accounts. The telephone comes with free long distance to the mainland USA, so you can keep in touch with the office and family. It is well stocked with beach items for you to enjoy. Tommy Bahama Backpack Beach Chairs, Boogie Boards, snorkel sets, umbrella, ice chest, beach towels, tennis rackets and balls. Just bring your clothes. There is a laundry facility on the grounds of Kaha Lani that takes credit cards so you can pack lighter and save on airline fees. Like most homes on Kauai, our condo doesn’t have air conditioning. We have replaced all the windows and had them tented to help keep the inside of the condo cool. All the windows open and are screened. This allows the cool ocean breezes off the ocean to flow through the Condo. The East side of the island gets most of the cool trade winds, so it’s the preferred side of the island. We have ceiling fans and portable stand up fans that you can move around the room. This feature sets us apart from other condos at Kaha Lani Resort since most don’t provide portable fans.

They both have an abundance of shopping, restaurants and activities.brbrThe resort’s rooms surround a central garden which contains four pools, two hot tubs, waterfalls, a 75 ft water slide and a sand bottom pool surrounded with sand and beach lounges. Overlooking the sand bottom pool and ocean is the Driftwood Bar & Grill. Relax in the sun on the beach lounges, or cool down with a shaved ice, a Hawaiian tradition from Ko Shave Ice and Treats. All this is just a 30 second stroll to the beach and 30 seconds to your room. There is a rock garden island with waterfalls that meet in a lava cavern. In addition, there are two hot-tubs/jacuzzies.brbrThe resort has three onsite restaurants plus Ko-Shave Ice and Treats and a Starbucks:br• Naupaka Terrace, the hotel's signature restaurant, with outdoor seating and ocean viewbr• Shutters Lounge, with nightly live music, has indoor and outdoor seating with fire pitbr• Driftwood Bar and Grill, located in the pool area with ocean viewbrbrCheck-in time is 3:00 PM / Check-out time is 11:00 AM. If you have an early arrival or late flight, let me know well in advance and I can sometimes arrange for earlier check-ins and later check-outs. Last minutes requests are difficult to honor because cleanings are scheduled well in advance.brbrThe resort charges their guests a resort fee of $64 per day, which includes the parking fee. The resort charges me when I stay and my guests $40 for parking, if you have a car, but you do not have to pay the rest of the resort fee, that’s a $24 per day savings. brbrThe resort has two restrictions; no-smoking except in designated areas and cooking is not allowed in the rooms. However, they do provide access to a microwave in the lobby building, so I provide plates, bowls and utensils for any restaurant leftovers and any cold food or food you might prepare in the resort’s microwave.brbrThe only fee we charge is a $150 cleaning fee which is a part of VRBO’s “All fees included” payment, but we pay the resort’s $100 check-in fee.brbrThe Hawaii tax on visitor accommodations is 18.712% which is also billed with your VRBO payment.brbrOur Hawaii Tax number is TA-064-042-8544-01brbrThe RoombrThe room overlooks Nukoli'i Beach Park and has a beautiful ocean view from the 100 square foot lanai (See Photos). The room is in one of the few areas on the resort where you can hear the ocean 24 hours a day without the artificial pool noise in the garden area. You have a tranquil, romantic, direct view from the lanai of the ocean with no distractions. Just the sun, the waves and natural vegetation of Hawaii. The air-conditioned room has a comfortable king bed, a power recliner sofa, a Keurig duo coffee maker (K-cups & carafe), large mini-fridge with freezer, free Wi-Fi and a large smart TV. The bathroom includes a tub with fixed and handheld shower heads. It is appointed with travertine tile and marble countertop. The room has been renovated, carpeted and painted. The room is on the ground floor of building three, so No Stairs or Elevators to slow your 30 second walk to the beach or pools. We have a second room next door (Vrbo# 1811141) if you have a party of more than three. Book early if you want both rooms for your group.brbrSo you don’t have to waste precious vacation time and money finding beach gear, I have provided:br• A wheeled cooler and smaller cooler with shoulder strapbr• Two backpack folding beach chairs and umbrellasbr• Two sets of snorkel equipment and two boogie boardsbr• Four beach towels and beach mats.brbrThe BeachbrThe resort fronts on Nukoli’i Beach, three miles of pristine open white sand beach with no other resorts to disturb your view. While the beach is scenic, it is not considered a swimmable beach as it has quite a bit of coral and lava. However, the coral and lava make for some beautiful breakers. The surf can also be pretty challenging for most. It does have plenty of soft sand for wading; however, it's best to go to one of Kauai's famous beaches for swimming. Lydgate Beach, just north of the golf course, is the closest to the resort and has great facilities for picnicking, a children’s playground and protected beach areas for swimming. You can walk the beach to Lydgate State Park and Beach from the resort, about 2 ½ miles, or drive, about 3 miles. You will also want to visit other popular Kauai beaches which include Poipu Beach, Anini Beach, Kalapaki Beach, Shipwrecks Beach (great hiking trail), Waioli Beach Park on Hanalei Bay and many more.brbrMahalo for considering my little piece of paradise for your visit to Kauai
