We have a welcoming ground floor, 723 sq. ft. one bedroom condominium at the Kihei Kai Nani complex across the street from a beautiful beach, Kamaole II, in Kihei (240 paces to sand). It is condo 125, located in building #5 which is located directly behind the pool. Kamaole II is a beautiful golden sand beach (rated as one of the 15 best beaches on Maui by the well respected Maui Revealed), which is both long and wide and has a nice snorkeling reef at its end. It has a lifeguard during the day and is shallow, making it family friendly. A short walk away are Kamaole I and III and a well maintained pathway is available for walkers and joggers that will take you from one beach to another all the way down to beautiful and exclusive Wailea (a relaxing 2 mile shoreline walk). There are benches situated along this pathway to allow for resting and Whale Watching during the December - March timeframe, when the Whales are frequently seen frolicking just off shore. brbrKihei Kai Nani is located adjacent to a number of shops and restaurants, making it possible to stay here without the need for a rental car. The Maui bus stops by on S. Kihei road, just outside the complex, for non-walking distance outings. brbrThe unit is fully furnished for you to enjoy your vacation in Maui. The beach and water are spectacularly clean and make for great swimming. At Kam 3, only minutes further south, the snorkeling is excellent. It is common to watch sea turtles within feet of the shore as they feed on the seaweed near the point.brbrKihei Kai Nani itself is so convenient. Parking is plentiful, free, and convenient to the condo. The large freshwater pool is open from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm. brI am very conscientious of climate change, but the increasing temperature and the comfort of my guests influenced my decision to install a/c. My condo at Kihei Akahi C-108 is not just a vacation rental, it is my second home. I personally visit several times a year to make sure it is properly prepared for your enjoyment. Tropical style louvered windows let in 100% of the breeze from the Trade winds and offer a view of the garden area. Being up higher on the fifth floor, the lanai provides both a good ocean view and a garden view, away from the noise of the pool/bbq areas and the main road. Use the lanai to enjoy a lazy morning coffee or bask in the last glow of sunset with a cocktail.brbrThoroughly outfitted kitchen (useful extras like a blender, crock pot, rice cooker, etc.), green granite countertops and hardwood cabinetry, updated appliances, gas cooktop, flat screen TVs in living room. Overhead air con unit in the living room, but the open windows and a ceiling fan on low keep it perfectly cool at night. For the daytime, our condo features a lockable steel screen front door. Day or night, the soothing Pacific breezes are comfortable and pleasant. The unit does NOT have central A/C.brbrThe bedroom is also well appointed with a newer king size bed, quality linens and a selection of pillow firmness. The linen cupboard is very well stocked with plush thirsty bath sheets and beach towels. The sofa bed in the living room has a six inch mattress to avoid that 'bar in back' feeling the next morning.brbrHighly desirable location in south/central Kihei, within walking distance to shopping, food stores (even an organic food store one block away!), services and restaurants, and the Maui bus stop only a few steps away. Kam II is right across the street, but that's only one of several fantastic beaches within walking distance. Gorgeous Big Beach and intriguing Little Beach are only a 15-minute drive away.
