Everyone who has stayed with us comments that the pictures don’t do the property justice. Treat yourself to a stay with us and find out!brbrPoolbrThe pool is saltwater, which is much friendlier on the skin if you plan on spending multiple days in the pool. Measuring 16’ x 28’, the bottom is dark grey, creating a darker look during the day and rich and inviting. The entire deck from the backdoor to the back of the pool is constructed with Shellstone pavers, while most pools use Kool Deck. Lastly, the pool equipment is high efficiency, so unless you are standing within five feet of it, you will never know it is running.brbrLiving RoombrThe living room is ultra comfortable and homey. The oyster tabby floors are as coastal as it gets. It comfortably seats seven with a huge Pottery Barn sectional and another chair. There are plenty of side tables for setting down your reading book or cocktail. There is a large fan that pushes tons of air to keep you cool on hot summer days. There are can lights on a dimmer switch so the lighting can be affixed to your liking. Entertainment is provided by a new 55” Samsung Smart HDTV, which hangs above the oyster tabby fireplace and is fed by a Hulu Live. We have Comcast Xfinity high-speed cable internet, which supplies the signal for all your devices. A beautiful rug softens the tabby floor in the living space. We also have books, card games, board games, chess, and checkers for your entertainment.brbrOutdoor Living AreabrWalking out of the back of the house, you enter the outdoor living room. The deck is made of Shell stone pavers which also surround the pool. The porch has a tin roof, which sounds lovely when the afternoon showers arrive. There is an outdoor porch swing with two comfortable chairs so seats 5-6 comfortably. A custom oyster basket light keeps the area lit, and two large outdoor fans keep the air flowing, making the outdoor area comfortable on the hottest of days. Hanging on the wall is a 43” Vizio HDTV, which is wonderful for keeping the kids entertained, watching your favorite sports game from the pool, or just relaxing in the evening and watching a movie. There is an outdoor dining table with seating for six. There is a gas grill for your outdoor cooking convenience. A shower is off the porch for rinsing the sand off your feet after returning from the beach or simply enjoying the blue sky while showering. Confederate Jasmine climbs the posts on the porch, adding to the beauty and providing beautiful scents at the right time of year. brbrMaster Bedroom – the master bedroom contains a king-size bed with a custom upholstered headboard. The room has a dresser big enough for all your folded clothes and is topped with a 32” HDTV with streaming abilities. Off the master is a balcony with a table and two chairs which is absolutely wonderful for sitting early in the morning and having coffee. There is a nice view all the way down the street from the balcony. The bathroom is newly renovated with a single sink, toilet, and porcelain tub with a tiled shower and glass barn door. There is a large walk-in closet with more than enough room for all your clothes. There is a ceiling fan in the room, which pushes a good amount of air if you need airflow to sleep well.brbrBedroom #1– this room contains a queen bed with a dresser on one side and a bedside table on the other. There are sconces on both sides of the bed with independent controls so you can continue to read if your significant other decides to go to sleep. There is a 32” HDTV that hangs on a wall in the top corner of the room with a Roku for streaming and for easy viewing. There is a closet in this room for your hanging clothing needs. A ceiling fan in the room pushes a good amount of air if you need airflow to sleep well. The newly renovated bathroom shared by the guest and kids room is a double sink, toilet, and a walk-in fully tiled shower.brbrBedroom #2– this room, while comfortable for adults, was set up with kids in mind. This room has a full bed and contains a full-size trundle bed. Next to the bed is a bedside table, and the room has a large dresser. A 32” HDTV hangs from the wall with a Roku for streaming. In the closet, there is plenty of room for clothes and lots of kid's books, mainly geared toward the 15 and under ages. There is also a bay window with a vanity and bench. brbrKitchenbrThe kitchen was renovated within the past year and is well-stocked for large groups. The oven is a glass-top electric oven which works great for all meals we have cooked. The countertops are granite with two large wooden cutting boards on each end. There is plenty of cabinet space and pantry space. We have overstocked the kitchen with plates, bowls, cups, silverware, wine glasses, cocktails, glasses mixing bowls, etc. Our family is big into cooking home meals, and we have stocked it as we have our full-time home. There is a Bosch dishwasher that does a wonderful job, and you would never know it is running. There is a coffee maker, a microwave, a convection oven, and an air fryer for your cooking convenience. There is also a blender for your smoothies or frozen beverages. Lastly, a set of Samsung VRT Steam washers and dryers make cleaning clothes a breeze. So quiet, yet they do such a great job getting out the stains!brbrLandscapebrThe landscaping was completed by The Vine on St Simons. The grass is locally grown St. Augustine, and a new parking pad was created in the front, providing room for up to four cars. Boxwood ferns adorn the property, and the rear is surrounded by bamboo and ligustrums, which provides ample privacy.brLocationbrThe Village is within walking distance and has the best shopping and dining areas and the fishing pier. The best park on the island, Mallory Park, is a five-minute walk, and the kids will love it. We have seven-foot tides on average at St Simons, which makes the beach situation variable. The beach near the pier has a beach during low tide, which is an easy walk from the house. As the tide comes in, the beach area moves north. Myrtle Street always has a beach. Walking is 1.2 miles, a 20-minute walk, a 6-minute bike ride or 4-minute car ride. King & Prince Beach is next to Myrtle Street, Massengale Park, and North Breakers. Further down is Coast Guard and then East Beach. All is very accessible from our cottage. Bike rental/golf cart rental is a wise idea if you intend to spend most of your time on the beach. If you intend to spend most of your time at the pool, dining, and shopping, your two feet will work just fine. after living in my home
