The cabin's rustic charm embraces you as you step onto the cozy wooden floors. You spend your days hiking through winding trails, exploring the untouched wilderness and taking in the serene beauty of nature and the Rich Mountain Preserve south of cabin. PETs welcome - small fee at checkout, applied per each pet. brbrYou are staying at the top of a mountain. Takes 5-10 minutes to get to top. There are only 3 neighbors at top. The one to right is where road dead ends. You won't really ever see them or any car traffic. The one a little higher and behind us is never there - lives out of state. And one to back left is occupied by full time residents - a retired couple. But cabin still feels very private because of the surrounding trees and the angle it faces out. br Evenings are spent reflecting by the cozy fireplace, wrapped in a warm blanket with a cup of hot cocoa in hand or s’mores at the fire pit. The tranquil solitude allows for deep quiet introspection, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As the sun sets behind the cabin, the sky transforms into a canvas of vibrant hues, creating a magical and memorable spectacle.brbrAfter a few moments in the warm, oversized stone shower - sleep comes easy with the gentle sounds of nature and whispering creek waters as your lullaby. The clear mountain skies reveal a tapestry of stars at night, reminding you of the vastness of the universe. In this mountain top cabin, you find solace, adventure, and a renewed connection with the natural world. And It starts all over with sunrise. The cabin at Little Rock Creek is the perfect getaway for any age group, yet still extremely convenient to both Blue Ridge and Ellijay. 10 miles each. Takes 20 min, as some of that mileage is coming down from the top of mountain at a much lower speed than highway. Shopping, dining, history, horseback, lake and river activities, hiking and scenic falls are all within easy reach. Don’t forget to be on the lookout for bears and BIGFOOT! Do not leave any trash on the porch to prevent attracting bears. br ✦You will likely see and hear critters and bugs. We have a monthly pest control service, but due to being in the forest, they are abundant in the area. br ✦Like every cabin in the area, the gas fireplace is shut down from April 1-October 1.br ✦This property is monitored with one camera located on the exterior of the porch viewing the parking and front porch entrance. The camera records br audio and video when motion is detected 24/7.brbr★★Cabin Access★★brThe cabin is situated in a picturesque mountainous area, which means the roads leading to it can be quite rugged and challenging, especially for vehicles that aren't equipped for such terrain. The final stretch of road, 0.25 miles (2-4min) leading to the property, is gravel with uneven surfaces. The driveway is steep, but it is concrete. All Wheel Drive vehicles are recommended. We routinely drive an All Wheel Drive minivan without issues to the cabin. There is ample room at the top of the drive to fit four cars and to turn around. brbrWhile most vehicles can navigate this road without issue, we have noticed that some cars with low ground clearance or smaller tires may encounter difficulties. We want to ensure your safety and the safety of your vehicle. If your car has low ground clearance or you're concerned about driving on gravel roads, we recommend considering an alternative mode of transportation for the final part of the journey, such as a rental with higher ground clearance.brbrYour comfort and safety are our top priorities, and we want to make sure you're fully informed before your trip. There is parking for two cars, and unloading is made simple with a stair-less entry. brbrThe back deck is our favorite spot, and it will likely become yours. You will enjoy the wood burning fireplace (s'mores after dinner are never a bad idea!), the brand-new gas grill, comfy armchairs and the generously sized dining table. After dinner, take a dip in the hot tub (drained, cleaned and sanitized before each arrival) and feel your stress melt away. From this level, you have easy access to your outdoor firepit and Adirondack chairs. This is a great spot for bird watching, and you may see deer as well. brbrBack inside, each bedroom has a private, attached bath with walk-in shower. The primary suite has a king-sized bed, and the guest bedroom has a queen-sized bed; there is also a washer and dryer in this bedroom. Both bedrooms have new mattresses and linens and are located on opposite ends of the cabin for maximum privacy and comfort. brbrYour living area is open to the kitchen and the back deck. The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked, including a Keurig for your morning pot of coffee or K-cup. The living area features a large fireplace and a smart TV. There is also a DVD player and a small DVD library. This is the perfect spot to gather to play board games or watch a movie. brbrIn addition to the close proximity to downtown Blue Ridge and Ellijay, you are just 25 minutes away from the quaint historic towns of Copperhill and McCaysville, with restaurants, shopping, river tubing and kayaking. brbrWe do not accept pets at this time. The sofa pulls out into a double bed and would be most suitable for a child. You will be able to hear the creek and see it from the lower part of the property, but the creek is not accessible for swimming/fishing (it is across a very lightly trafficked road). brbrThe host fee that VRBO displays is the cleaning fee. This goes directly to our cleaning company and ensures the cabin is kept sparkling.brbrPLEASE READ:brOur cabin is on well water. This water is safe for drinking, but many people choose to bring their own water for drinking. brbrFirewood is not provided at this time. To enjoy the outdoor deck fireplace, you will need to bring your own wood. We often purchase from the Ace Hardware in either Blue Ridge or Elijay.brbrThe grill and the firepit use gas canisters. They congregate together in the fall to hibernate. They are attracted to the heat that the homes reflect. We have regular bug treatment and this is not an infestation. The best way to deal with them is by using provided handheld vacuum to clean them up.brbrbrbrCRITTERS AND BUGS - Guests can possibly, occasionally, expect to see critters (bugs, squirrels, deer, opossum, bears, etc.) in or around the cabin since this is a mountain woodland area. We do however have the cabin on a regular pest control schedule to help minimize the possibility of such critters/bugs coming into the cabin.
