The back yard has a lovely pool with a 10' x 15' side entry consisting of a shallow platform that transitions to broad steps down into the swimming area of the pool which is 10' x 35', perfect for mothers with babies or young kids or anyone that wants to enjoy the water and poolside activities without having to be submerged while offering swimming area for exercise or cooling off. Just steps away is an undercover patio with a bar counter and bait freezer, The gas grill is just around the corner as well as the walkway ramp to the dock which offers great protected dockage and a swim or boarding ladder for easy access to the water. A short run through the harbor and out to Sister's Creek, from there you can go up the creek to Boot Key Harbor and onto the 7 Mile Bridge or you can go south to Sombrero Beach and on out to the Ocean, the reefs and Sombrero Light for great fishing or snorkeling.brThe first floor of the home has a private bedroom and bath with patio doors opening to the pool deck. The bath has a travertine marble tiled shower and a separate door opening to the out side to serve as a convenience bath for the pool or dock area. The interior stairs lead up to the main floor. There is an exterior staircase that leads directly to this level and the main front door. This level has a spacious living area with seating for TV entertainment, another area for conversation, a table for card games or puzzles and the dining area overlooking the canal and views. Comcast cable TV and wifi service. A TV in the living area and one in each bedroom. Good parking, two carports under cover and driveway parking with room for a boat trailer. The dock configuration is from the lift post at the harbor end of the dock to the first piling is 8.5' then the main dock area runs 19' to the step up and from there it runs another 32' to the end. You know you should have some coconut water for hydration, but instead you pull out the blender and mix up a pina colada. This is the most refreshing drink ever after all your morning activity. brbrSombrero Reef is the place to go for snorkeling or scuba-diving. It's on the ocean side, but you're ready for another adventure, right Seabird's manager cautioned you to only go out to Sombrero on a perfect day which translates to one with little or no wind. Otherwise, it makes for a very wet and bumpy ride over if you ignore sea conditions. Also, if you have limited boating skills, you may want to go out to the reef with a captain. There are numerous boats who take people out for a half-day with a group. This could be for you. brbrThe kids are gathered looking at hermit crabs, so you decide to see what the fascination with hermit crabs is all about. They found crabs painted with art and people’s names on the crabs. This seems to be a Seabird thing. Paint your own personal crab and throughout your stay, try to spot it around the Island. So, the kids are now painting their names on the little crabs. I did see a page in the Seabird guidebook that was a warning from the owners…You can’t take them home with you!! Their home is on Seabird!brbrbrbrbrbr brbrbr brbryou can unwind in the cozy living room, catch a movie on the smart TV, or challenge your friends to a game night.
