I believe the shallowest reading I've ever received on our depth finder was 2.5 feet, which proved plenty with the engines trimmed up on our 26' Mako. As for the bridges, you should be able to clear them at all tides so long as you don't have any sort of tall cabin structure (a T-top would not work, for example). The first bridge is 8ft from the average water lin. I'm not entirely sure what the clearance is, but I can tell you that our 26' Mako with the Bimini down can always clear the bridges, and with the bimini up can clear them during mid tide and low tide, but not at high tide. Our Bimini is probably 8' above the deck.
