There are just two steps from the main floor to the lawn. Runamuk has a sandy swimming beach, sandy bottom, and our lake has a gentle sloping bottom. At the end of our dock it’s about 4’ deep. Durphee Lake is excellent for pan fishing right off the dock or out in your fishing boat. It’s big enough for power boats and jet skis (personal watercraft) but quiet and low-traffic enough to enjoy the great outdoors. Be sure and ask about our pontoon or fishing boat rental to augment your stay. brbrHousekeeping, Linens, Towels, etc.: Along with the fully-equipped kitchen we will provide dish washing & dishwasher soap, trash bags, outside large – capacity trash can, paper towels, kitchen towels, bath and beach towels, etc., as well as all linens. To ensure consistent standards Runamuk has a mandatory cleaning service requirements. Guests are still required to clean the grill, empty trash cans, and replenish firewood in the woodhouse from the bulk wood behind the garage. We are privately owned and are less than 3 hours from the Twin Cities metro area. We are located just 20 miles from the town of Hayward, Wisconsin.brbrWe are located on The Chippewa Flowage which has over 3000 acres of shoreline, half of which is undeveloped and we are surrounded by national forests. The fish in the lake are always biting and include, walleye, northern, crappie, bass, bluegills & perch. Fishing off our docks is awesome & popular too.brbrThe cabins offer a fire pit, picnic table, chairs, access to a fish cleaning house, boat landing, dock, Internet TV, TV’s and DVD Players in each cabin, grill, window unit a/c, and is only 30 ft. from the lake with a private beach! We have a sprawling resort layout with 7 cabins to choose from. We can typically be found on the grounds either working on the cabins, grounds, or enjoying the quiet atmosphere with our kids, but we do prefer to operate with a laid back, hands off style.
