Walk to arts and entertainment or stay in and enjoy the privacy of the beautiful grounds. The guest house is an open space with 360 square feet and a 15-foot cathedral ceiling with exposed beams. There is a Queen bed on the main level and a queen bed in the loft plus one bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need including, one electric hotplate, microwave/convection oven, coffee pot, tea kettle, toaster, blender, under-counter refrigerator, and outdoor gas grill. The dining table seats four and the outdoor space has three club chairs, one additional chair, and a hammock. The owner lives on site but the outdoor space is separated by a fence. The house was built in 1928 and resembles a European cottage. The guesthouse was constructed in 2006 and recently remodeled in 2021. The property and grounds have been published in various magazines, featured in commercials, and have been open for public outdoor garden tours. Casement windows surround the guest house with beautiful views of the gardens and numerous heritage Live Oak trees. Google fiber is available for high-speed internet access. The garage has Foosball and Shuffleboard.brbrYou'll get the whole house....in fact you likely won't ever even see us as we'll give you a key code before you arrive and you'll just check yourself out when you leave.brbrWe're always available by phone and email if you have questions about the house or Austin.brbrGreat neighborhood with tons of hiking trails, sand volleyball, and an old settlers park.brbrEasy access to Mopac and I35 or you could take the Metro Rail downtown from the Howard Station which is 1 mile away.brbrThis home is in a quiet residential neighborhood. Remote controlled mini-split units provide quiet and comfortable heating and cooling. This means an extra measure of privacy since no back yards are directly behind you. A short walk down the hill to Barton Springs Road you'll find the #30 bus stop.
