Our monthly rates change with the seasons, so please contact me for details of the dates you are considering and whether or not you have a pet before making a reservation request. We are restricted by city zoning to a minimum of 30 day rentals. Our rates include all utilities, internet. brUtilities do not include the charging of electric vehicles, there is a $150 fee for charging electric vehicles.brbr#7 is a welcoming, comfortable, and conveniently located cottage in first block from Newport Harbor, off Wellington Ave. [Home of Ida Lewis + New York Yacht Clubs]. The house has small back yard [maintained by owners] and has ‘spacious’ feel with Spencer Park directly opposite / facing #7. [Houses on only one side of Clinton St] Originally built in the 1890's, Cottage style. We fully renovated in the 80’s, and have since then continuously kept up with repairs. We have re-painted & re-furbished as needed. We always clean very thoroughly and freshen up with touch up paint etc before each new tenant.brbrbrThere are finished wood floors and carpets throughout. Downstairs, a living room with tv, dining room, kitchen and 1/2bath. Lovely bright upstairs w/ skylights. The house is air conditioned using 'inverter' units. brThe house is fully furnished and the kitchen is well equipped, just bring your suitcase! [please see photos for representation of items provided in cabinets, drawers and closets] Sleeps four w/ pullout couch for occasional guests. There is a Master bedroom suite, queen bed with separate sitting room. The washer & dryer are in a separate little room, off the master bedroom sitting room, and has an extra vanity sink for convenience. The second bedroom has two single beds, a skylight, and good view of Spencer park across the street. Both bedrooms have separate air/con units and tvs. We provide linens and bedding, and plenty of towels, including beach towels. brThe wooden deck on back of house has table and chairs, Gas Bar b q grill, umbrella & sun chairs. We have added a wooden counter on one side of the deck, with storage under for beach chairs etc.brbrWe consider pets on an individual basis, please check with me about your pet.brbrWhere our house is situated, it is a wonderful location for harbor-front walks in King Park, located at the end of Clinton St. Especially one can enjoy spectacular Sunset views across harbor to Fort Adams and the Newport Pell Bridge.brThe house is within easy walking distance [2 Blocks] to Lower Thames St. w/ Restaurants, Shopping, Banks and ATM’s. brbrBicycle rides around Ocean Drive and to beaches can be fun. Our house is only approx 45mins from Providence Green Airport & Kingston RI Train station. Approx 1hr 45min to Boston Ma. brbrFort Adams State Park, located on Newport Harbor, is a 10 mins bike ride away from #7 Clinton St. There is plentiful parking at the Fort.brbrIf you enjoy walking ...: #7 is well situated to walk either into town or along the harbor on Wellington Ave. and King Park. There are many varied Restaurants [Family to Gourmet], shops, Pottery and Glass Blowing Studio/retail stores, and ATMs - all within a few blocks. In town there are many small art galleries showing varied work by local artists, and also photographic image galleries.brGrocery delivery is possible from a local supermarkets. There is no necessity for a car most days! Bicycle rentals are available, and it is also a great way to get around town and to the beach.brWalking along Newport's famous Cliff Walk is a wonderful experience, with Views of Easton's Beach, the Atlantic Ocean along the coastline, and several of Newport's famous mansions. brThere are several wildlife reserves in nearby Middletown RI, [15min drive] with walking trails. Such as the Norman Bird Sanctuary and Sachuest Point Wild life Refuge.brSports such as Sailing, Fishing, Kayaking, Bicycling, Golf, Tennis, Surfing are all popular pastimes on the island.brThere is so much to do in Newport and on Aquidneck Island!br 'Sail Newport', located in Fort Adams State Park, offers Sailing schools for kids [and older], and small sail boat rentals. brThere are several golf courses open to the public on the island.brHarbor Tours, Charters on Classic 12 meter America's Cup sail boats, . Fishing charters. Ocean Fly fishing instruction. brSurf board, Kayak and small boat rentals. brTall Ships make visits to the Newport Harbor from time to time.brMany Sailing Racing Series held throughout the Summer, and there is good viewing from Fort Adams State Park.brAquidneck Island is popular in the surfing world for its wave action! brNewport is fun for bicyclists, from getting around town on busy traffic days, to peddling around viewing the mansions, and historic architecture. Not to be missed - cycling around the approx ten mile Ocean Drive, with spectacular ocean views, and pond wild life.brbrLive music - Festivals, concerts and more: Newport offers many varied entertainment possibilities. brJazz and Folk Festivals at Fort Adams in Aug.brTwo weeks of Classical Chamber Music concerts in July.brMany bars and restaurants offer live music.brComedy clubs.brTheatre.brThe local Newport Art Museum offers art workshops for adults teens and kids , and has Camps for kids.brThis list is for interests and entertainment on Aquidneck Island. This 1500 sq house with a first floor open living two bathroom house is centrally located in Downtown Newport. The property is steps off Thames St. in the thriving downtown/waterfront area where its lined on each side with countless bars, restaurants, shops and historic homes. brThe downstairs is an open-concept kitchen/dining room/living room /sun room. Downstairs has multiple seating areas for entertaining or to chill out it also has a full bathroom and Laundry room/mudroom. Upstairs has one full bathroom and bedrooms each with good size closets and flat screen TV's in each bedroom. Bedrooms have a queen bed in each room and one bedroom has a twin and a full bed. The house is ideal for families, couples or groups looking for a in town location that you can park your cars and be a walking distance to all downtown Newport has to offer. Easton Beach (1st Beach) & the Cliff Walk are also a walking distance approx. 20-25 mins. (Driving 6 mins.), Sachuest Beach (2nd Beach) (Driving 12 mins) & the Mansions on Bellevue Ave are approx. 15 - 20 mins walking distance depending on which one you want to visit (Driving 5 mins). Water Shuttle can be accessed walking distance 8 mins. from the house which offers a hop on - hop off service and you can explore the harbor and visit some of the amazing sights such as Fort Adam. Golf Course (Newport National Golf Club) is about 7 miles always (Driving 16 mins). Whether your planned visit is for relaxation, family affairs, celebrations or simply enjoying the seaside city of Newport, this is the perfect home away from home! Appropriate for accommodating groups of family, friends, wedding parties, family reunions, corporate retreats, and more.brbrThis historical home is located in the heart of Newport within walking distance of just about everything. The neighborhood is quiet, with many large residential homes, and some quieter inns or B&Bs. It is just a few blocks from historic Bellevue Avenue, the Tennis Hall of Fame, and the Viking Hotel. brbrBowens Wharf with all of its history and famous restaurants including The Clarke Cooke House and The Black Pearl is only a 10 minute walk from the house.brbrThe large chefs kitchen with butlers pantry is fully stocked with everything you would need to serve a simple meal or a celebration. Cookware, glassware, flatware, dishes, serving platters, etc... A collection of menus from local restaurants for delivery are in the kitchen, or the name of a private chef can be provided by Elizabeth, our property manager.brbrThe beautiful dining room with its historic 1930's mural (depicting some of Newport's most recognizable landmarks), has seating for 10-12. The adjacent solarium has two cafe tables for morning coffee!brbrEach bedroom is its own oasis with its own Keurig coffee maker, ice bucket, and mini fridge, and all have private bathrooms. brbrEnjoy wine, cheese and crackers on the front porch and watch the passers bye, or take in the tranquility of the private rose garden in the rear yard with its 4 Adirondack chairs. Wedding parties have used the backyard for games ie: Croquet, Bocce... probably non of them really successful, but they had fun!brbrThe City of Newport has very strict guidelines in order for us to retain a special use permit for short term rentals, and we abide by all of them. We have quarterly inspections for fire and all safety alarm systems. The City also requires that there is a property manager or owner living in the home year-round. Elizabeth, the property manager lives at 24 Kay with her 5lb Cavapoo, (Poppy) in a little, but adorable apartment located on the second floor with its own entrance at the rear of the house. brbrWe look forward to welcoming you!
