To get there, exit my door and go right, travel 200 yards down the road, and the stairs will be marked by a sign. This provides quick access to Carson Street. Roughly 7-10 minute walk. 18th street and Pius both do not require parking permits.brbrThe Southside, in general, is a staple of Pittsburgh. 100 years ago most of the Southside was steel mills. You can still see fragments of the mills at the Hot Metal Bridge and various pieces along the bike/walking path next to the river.
