An additional cleaning fee to cover the removal of pet dander from the property will apply.brbrWater accessbrLake Ontario is a especially prone to change conditions very quickly. Often in the morning it is tranquil and by your second cup of coffee the wind has picked up and there are nice waves. This is incredibly exciting to observe, but kids and inexperienced swimmers should always be well supervised. One of the greatest pleasures of the beach front however is the hunt for fossils. The limestone in this area is famous for them. It is almost guaranteed that guests will find a trilobite or mollusk to add to their collection. There is no sudden drop off in front of the house. One can comfortably walk out 20m. The house faces directly south so the moonrises are stunning. Rochester`s lights are 70km away can be seen on a clear night. brbrWaterfront is accessed by stairs with railing. These stairs are removed from the water in the fall and returned in the spring (weather depending) but guests are welcome to use the neighbours steps (to the east) if the stairs are not put in by time of visit. Usually stairs are in for May long weekend. The Guest who books a stay must be a minimum of 25 years old. The Guest who makes the booking must also be present for the stay. brbr4. Shooting fireworks and / or firearms is strictly prohibited. brbr5. We are a short drive to Sandbanks Provincial Park, Bloomfield, Wellington, Waupoos and the numerous wineries, craft breweries, farms and hiking and biking trails. brbrGood for couples, groups of friends, and anyone looking to experience the charm of the County. We provide a vehicle pass to Sandbanks Park good from April 1 - October 31.brbrbrbrAll bedrooms have Endy mattresses for a very comfortable sleep.brbrbrbrThere are 2 yoga mats available and space in the living room, dining room or back deck to stretch out on them.brbrbrbrYou have access to the entire house except the basement.brbrThere is a large backyard with a deck that sits in the shade of large nut tree. One of Ontario's best restaurants.brbrOnesta - Fresh pasta made daily. We love their caesar salad.brbrThe Royal - Picton's restored, historic hotel is worth checking out for the design alone, but they also have a beautiful high end restaurant and coffee bar.brbrRuss and Co - Picton's newest cocktail bar adjacent to the Regent TheatrebrbrbrbrThe Regent Theatre is also a short walk away on Main Street. It began as a movie theatre in 1918 and then hosted vaudeville acts in the 1930's. It is now a fitting centre for the arts community in PEC, hosting live theatre, music and movies. brbrbrbrThe Glenwood Cemetery two blocks south of Main Street off Ferguson St. has 62 acres of rolling hills, majestic mature forests, and winding roads. Highly recommend this for an early morning walk. This 1873 cemetery was designed by the same architect that designed the Mount Pleasant cemetery in Toronto.brbrbrbrThere is a boardwalk from Picton marina that will take you to the new development of Port Picton where you can check out the Claramount Club with it's restaurant the Foundry.brbrbrbrThere are a couple of taxi services available if you want to leave the car at home:brbrTerry's TaxibrbrThe Taxi GuybrbrAnd there's also a ride sharing service called UridebrbrbrbrGuest Access:brbrYou will have access to whole house except the basement. We are close to the Millennial Trail and PEC is a favourite for cyclists overall. A large living room with leather sofa that can also be an extra bed, lounge chair makes this a very comfortable space to relax. Large screen tv, that includes Netflix access, high speed internet. The extra large very elegant bathroom features large walk in shower with glass doors, beautiful carrera porcelain tiles, a washer/dryer and oversized vanity. The kitchen features an all white new cabinetry/appliances/dishwasher and glass table dining area. The kitchen is fully equiped for any gourmet cook. There is a full foyer downstairs in the entry way with closet storage for bags/boots/shoes coats. Large shared garden with muskoka chairs and gas fire pit make for a lovely outdoor space with friends. Phaeton, the first of the houses of the stone coach house

The Stone Carriage House says it all. It is a mid 19th century coach house which is now 3 separate homes each with its own distinct character. The building is steps from Main St. It is just a quick walk to the Regent Theater, restaurants and music. It is a great home base for exploring all that County has to offer: food, wine, beautiful scenery, and Sandbanks Park (and the rental comes with a park pass). It's location within town allows you to explore the surrounding area during the day but gives you the opportunity to return to your own pied de terre in the evening to relax with friends over dinner or a bottle of local wine. The house is filled with period antiques which create a feeling of yesterday year but the comforts of home. There are 2 other homes in the building each with small yards which would allow the possibility for several friends or family members to travel together but have some privacy. Phaeton is light and bright. It is the smallest of the 3 homes but it is still close to 1500 sq feet. It has a great east facing enclosed porch for a morning coffee. Each of the homes have their own unit is sophisticated and yet cozy. It would be ideal for a girl's weekend or a chance for two couples to spend time together or a family to spend quiet evenings after a day at the beach. You may want to glance at the other 2 stone carriage house listings. Each is different and has its own distinctive personality. This and my other 2 listings include a Sandbanks pass. The price quoted includes everything except tax. There are no extra charges for cleaning, laundry or internet.
