In the 1960s, my dad worked with my uncle from the village who did some real estate after the war and he bought this piece of land,brbrHe let it sit until the 80s when he and my mom had the foundation poured and then he built it from the ground up with his buddies, He was in sales, but thankfully he was handy and all his friends were skilled tradesmen. It is the central focal point in almost all of our memories together, with friends, with extended family.brbrI have taken great pride in not only enjoying it as they wished, but replicating their hard work and perseverance. There is a deck overlooking the lake with a dining table and barbecue. Relax in the Muskoka room with a morning coffee! There is a washer and dryer located in the basement of the main cottage. The main cottage has A/C and a working furnace.brbrThe other 2 cottages are 2.5 bedrooms. We say there is a half bedroom because it also holds a shower - yes it is a bit of an odd design. Both of the other 2 cottages have a sitting area, small kitchen and dining area. Both have 3 single beds and 1 double. brbrThere is a boathouse roof to relax with you and your guests down by the water. In the boat house there is a drinks fridge so you do not have to wander far from the water. Enjoy the water trampoline and the standup paddle board. We have both a small beach and deep water entry. Just 30 minutes to Port Carling, the Muskoka central hub with access to the other Muskoka lakes.brbrPROPERTYbrWINCHESTER sits slightly elevated above the Lake Rosseau shoreline, with four levels of decking bringing ample outdoor seating throughout. Off the main floor of the cottage is the large cottage deck with quick access to the bunkie or a few stairs that will take you to the impressive boathouse rooftop patio where there is a covered and uncovered portion, right above the water. Under the covered portion is an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue, a bar area, a propane fire pit, as well as an outdoor dining table with seating for 8 and a high table with seating for 4. The uncovered portion at the end of the deck has an outdoor sectional and coffee table, with exceptional views and excellent sun. From the cottage deck, you can continue all the way down to the water level where there are three different docks to choose from, depending on what kind of sun exposure you'd prefer throughout the day. On the far side of the boathouse is a stretch of docking with two lounge chairs, directly in front of the cottage is the largest dock with 6 lounge chairs with an umbrella, and the last dock has four Muskoka Chairs plus two jet ski lifts. Between the shoreline and the cottage are beautiful gardens and landscaping making it a gorgeous little adventure walking amongst the property. We have spent the last ten years updating and modernizing and giving it new life without changing the original charm. We are constantly upgrading (new paint, new roof, counters, new hot water tank, furniture, mattresses, décor, updated the original cabin, and continue to do so yearly, kitchen, baths etc.).
