Luxury Tesuque Home, Serene Surroundings

Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States

Summary:brbrLuxury Home, Serene SurroundingsbrbrbrbrThe Space:brbrPROFESSIONALLY HOSTED BY TWO CASITASbrbrSpotless cleanings, 24/7 guest support, detailed property guides, and best of all, no checkout chores.brbrbrbrSUMMARYbrbrEl Torreón is a large comfortable hacienda perfect for retreats and quiet getaways. This home is a stunning example of traditional Pueblo Revival (aka Santa Fe) style, including high ceilings, vigas (wood beams), latias (round or split cedar ceilings), carved corbels, arched doorways, saltillo tile, kiva fireplaces, and signature massive walls making it warm in winter and cool in summer. El Torreon also features an enclosed courtyard with a fountain and fruit trees. It’s very private, yet only five minutes to some of the most popular area restaurants: El Nido, Tesuque Village Market, Skyfire at Bishop's Lodge, and a few minutes more to either the plaza or the Santa Fe Opera.brbrbrbrEl Torreon, which means The Tower, is surrounded by both trees and water -- very rare for Santa Fe area homes. Tesuque Creek is on the west, and the Acequia Madre de Tesuque, part of a 700-year-old network of irrigation ditches, is on the east. Large deciduous trees provide cool shade in the summer, sometimes for deer that wander down from the mountains.  Extensive hiking/walking trails start just off White Boulder Road, and the Windsor Trail is accessible from Bishop's Lodge Road. The Acequia runs in the spring and summer months depending on winter snowfall. Tesuque Creek is 20 ft from the patio, and it is one of the few in the entire area that runs all year.  In the summer months it ranges from a soothing brook to an energetic torrent after a rainstorm in the mountains.brbrbrbrSince this home is part of a quiet community, we ask that it is not rented for parties or celebrations and that music stays at a reasonable indoor volume. In addition, this home is not pet friendly and we ask those with service animals to seek other accommodations due to allergies.brbrbrbr.brbrbrbrBED AND BATHbrbrThis spectacular home has 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Two master bedrooms have beautiful king-size beds and kiva fireplaces, one private patio and mountain views. There are two spacious bedrooms with Queen size beds, one with a kiva fireplace and French doors to the courtyard. The last bedroom contains two sets of bunk beds.brbrbrbrOUTDOOR SPACEbrbrEl Torreon has numerous flagstone patios and portals (covered areas to relax and enjoy the surroundings), a large rooftop deck above with views of the creek and hillside, and an outdoor fireplace. Its location is quiet and private.brbrbrbrLOCATIONbrbr1.8 miles to Tesuque Village which has two restaurants and the Village Marketbrbr5.0 miles to Santa Fe Operabrbr4.7 miles to the Plazabrbr5.0 mile to Canyon Roadbrbr5.1 miles to the RailyardbrbrbrbrPLEASE NOTE:brbr- This home does NOT have air conditioning. A large and portable evaporative cooler is in place, there are fans in every bedroom, and the home is extremely well-insulated.brbr- NO MORE THAN 12 GUESTS ARE ALLOWED IN THIS HOMEbrbr- A 4WD vehicle is recommended to access this home during the winter months.brbr- The fireplace is available from October 15th - April 15th.brbr- This home is NOT pet-friendly. The homeowners monitor the home with exterior cameras, and our cleaning staff reports pet hair to us after each checkout. Any unauthorized pets will result in a $1,000 fee.
