Family Beach Get-a-Way Just 4 Houses from the Ocean!

This is a great family house done in the traditional upside down style used to take advantage of beach views. The north deck has an octagonal picnic table to seat the whole family as well as a high top table w/chairs and stools to better see the ocean and assist the cook! It is a great place to check out the morning waves while sipping that first cup of coffee, or for enjoying a home grilled dinner (watch out for those seagulls though, they are fast!) The east deck is covered and a nice place to escape the midday sun or a rain shower. It's breezy and cozy all at once!. Both decks are great places to watch the world go past by air, land or sea. brThe dining room has a huge historic table that seats all guests at once. There is also bar seating for 3 and a beverage fridge to free up space in the main refrigerator for food stuffs. The living room has a unique built in bar area complete w/keg fridge and Margaritaville Blender. It's great for adults but our kids love the bar area as a place to snack and play games. The top floor also has a full bathroom and utility closet. There is plenty of cabinet space in the kitchen for all your goodies and we supply two drip coffee makers so there is no waiting in the morning for that crucial next cup!brbrThere is a newly renovated master bath. The other downstairs bathroom is separated into two rooms, one w/two distinct sink areas and the other comprising the toilet and tub/ shower. This configuration is especially useful during rush hour! To me the best shower is found outside, where all the sand and salt can be washed off under the sun or stars...depending on how late you are. There is a downstairs deck as well, where beach toys and chairs can be found, and where you can rest while waiting for the outdoor shower. The side yard has a good, old fashioned clothes line for sandy towels and wet suits. Almost all of the beds are new foam mattress beds, making for a great night's sleep! The driveway has parking for four, or use the street and let the kids use the drive way for games and biking. brThe house is perfect for two families or for multi generational get togethers. We usually do not rent from the 3d week of June through the end of August. - family uses the house. Please check with owner for Rates because rate structure on VRBO can sometimes be confusing and rates may be different than shown. Minimum rental is usually 2 nights and if you want to rent a Friday or Sat night, the full weekend rate applies to the second night whether it is a Thurs or a Sunday. Nightly rate is generally an add on to a weekend rental. If you want to rent just mid week, the night rate depends on when you want to stay and how long. br. brOur home, which has been in the family for 3 generations, has been totally renovated and upgraded to a modern house with all the amenities you want. The house still maintains it's original charm and comfort. We only rent it out only part of the time and we price it at very reasonsable rates for this reason, especially for a house this nice. Please see the reviews we receive. brIt is about a 5 minute walk to the YCSH, the Windrift, the Icona Inn or 10 minutes to the Reeds, and other event venues. brThis house boasts a kitchen downstairs, kitchenette upstairs, and family rooms on both floors. The downstairs kitchen has all modern appliances, with an oversized center island that can easily seat 4, 2 sinks, a seperate beverage fridge, and everything you need for cooking, including a stocked spice cabinet. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the tools you need prepare great meals for your family and friends. The living/dining/kitchen open area leads out to a full size in-ground swimming pool with ample outdoor furniture and an outside shower to rinse the sand off before you plunge into the very large pool (one of the largest, if not the largest, on the Island! Pool is usually open from around Memorial Day Weekend to late September, but please check with owner if pool will be open later than September). br Or spend time at the Stone Harbor recreation area 3 short blocks away, with 12 tennis courts, basketball courts, playground and various ball fields. Or walk to town in just 8 blocks where you must be sure to get Springers famous ice cream and stroll the town or catch a movie. Or walk to Buds Market less than 3 blocks away if you want to get food and grill on our Weber grill. br This house has 7 nicely decorated, comfortable bedrooms. The upstairs master has a king size bed and balcony, the downstairs master has a king size bed, and front porch. There is also another queen bedroom and a third bedroom with two singles on the first floor and 2 bathrooms. Upstairs has a total of 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One bedroom has a king, two have queens, and the largest has 3 singles. We have central air and heat, 2 wood burning fireplaces and enough balconies and windows to enjoy the ocean breeze. br brThis house is perfect for any family gathering of up to 14 people, plenty of places to hide, 3 balconies to choose from!
