The cabin has an open floor plan, that showcases the lake views as soon as you walk in the door. The well-appointed kitchen is open to the central dining area and cozy living area (complete with stone fireplace) and this all opens up to the porch with a 16 ft sliding door. The main level also features 1 of the 4 bedrooms and a bathroom with a walk-in tile shower. The upper-level features two cozy vaulted bedroom suites, one with a stone gas fireplace and built in bed in addition to the queen bed, both have attached baths with custom walk-in tile showers. The lower level is all about the camp theme, with 6 built in bunks and an open TV area with giant cushy sectional for movie nights for kids of all ages. The lower level also has another bedroom with a queen bed and a bathroom with a walk-in custom tile shower. Lake O'Brien is a clean spring fed lake, with a water clarity of 24', one of the cleanest lakes in the area. The lake itself is surrounded by mature pines and hardwoods with approximately 5 miles of shoreline, a quarter of which is state owned property, so not developed. During the summer this recreational lake is perfect for all sorts of water activities from boating, to floating and everything in-between. brbrIts location on a quiet tar township road makes it perfect for a summer morning walk or bike ride. The main level features vaulted ceilings and a wonderful porch overlooking the lake with panoramic views of beautiful O'brien Lake, including wonderful sunsets. The main level further features 2 bedrooms: a master bedroom with attached bathroom complete with custom tile shower, and an additional main floor bedroom with separate bath and custom tile shower. The main floor has a mud room entry area and laundry closet for your use. The lower level features an additional queen bedroom, a bunk room with 8 built in bunks, and the bathroom is set up to accommodate a crowd, with separate areas for the tile shower room, the toilet room, and the vanity. In addition, the lower level features a game/puzzle table along with a cozy sectional couch and entertainment area with a 75” TV for a rainy day or movie night! The upper level of the cabin has a second Master Suite, featuring a queen bedroom and an attached bath with another custom tile shower. brbrThe great room and porch flow seamlessly to a large lakeside flagstone firepit area just steps from the water for those true Minnesotan's (firewood included of course)! And don't worry, you won't be “roughing it”, the cabin was done in good taste so along with the granite counter tops, the wood plank floors, and the reclaimed details it also has air conditioning, new appliances, and a Kinetico softened water system.br brSituated 5 miles east of the town of Crosslake, crystal clear Lake O'Brien is spring fed with a water clarity of 24', the cleanest lake in the entire watershed district. The lake itself is surrounded by mature pines. There is approximately 5 miles of shoreline, of which about a quarter of the lake is undeveloped state-owned property. During the summer, this recreational lake is perfect for fishing, skiing, wake boarding, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding and all the water-based activities, including floating on an air mattress!! There is a sandbar where you can walk across the lake which is a favorite gathering spot for 'kids of all ages'!! brbrThe cabin's location on a quiet tar township road makes it perfect for a morning walk or bike ride. During the winter months the lake is perfect for ice fishing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and is a perfect base camp to access the endless miles of groomed snowmobile trails.br brSunset Haus is perfect for a family, or an extended family, and because of the set-up It can also work for 4 families with kids, a couples getaway weekend, or a small family reunion - the options are many. We have a strict limit of 16 occupants. There are 4 Queen beds (1 per bedroom), 8 single beds (in the bunk area).
