The 75 feet of lake front is BIG, so it makes you feel away from it all versus some places that stacked tight with one right next to the other with 50 foot. This cottage is not in a channel, but right on the lake. This cottage is not on top of a steep hill with 70 steps, it is 6 steps down to the lake level. So, if you forget your sunscreen you do not have to go back up the 70 steps to retrieve it. We need to keep it clean and ready to go, so we kindly ask our guests to please respect this. brbrParking is free and for registered guests only. Up to 2 parking spaces are available. There is no other parking available in the area and no on street parking. If you have more than 2 vehicles, please reach out in advance and we can offer some suggestions for additional vehicles.brbrThere are security cameras outside both entrances of the home for your safety as well as ours that actively record. Do not tamper with or disable the cameras. brbrIf you use the kitchen, please clean up afterwards. brbrPlease do not clean or fry fish inside the home, we can supply tools for cleaning fish as well as a deep fryer for use outside on the concrete back porch.brbrDECK/GRILL: PLEASE DO NOT SPRAY BUG SPRAY OR SUN TAN LOTION WHILE STANDING ON OUR DECK. It bleaches the deck and does not come off. Please apply in the grass away from the deck if you need to spray - thank you! brbrPlease do not move couches or furniture. brbrNo wet swimsuits/towels on any inside furniture (the chairs outside are swimsuit friendly). Swimming towels can be hung over the sides of the deck in summer to dry. There are also hooks in the bathroom for towels.brbrAny damages, missing items, etc. will be charged to guests accordingly. brbrWe are on a septic system and if anything other than TP is flushed and this requires a service call by the sewer district or a plumber, you will be responsible for all of the charges related to this service call (to clear and pump out the tank ranges between $400 to $1200). No flushable wipes or feminine products.brbrCheckout is at 11AM. Often we have new guests checking in the same day you're checking out and we need ample time to thoroughly clean and turn over the house. brbrAny violation or disregard for the rules will result in being asked to vacate the property prior to your departure date. Weekly 7 day rental runs Friday (4pm check-in) to Friday (10am check-out) from May 24th holiday week to Labor Day holiday week. Winter, spring, fall only require a 3 day minimum. The cottage has three bedrooms [two with full-sized beds and one with twin beds] and a living area at the lower level walkout that has a full-size pull out couch. The cottage sleeps a total of 8-10 adults. This cottage is fully furnished with a well-equipped kitchen, including microwave and blender. Each floor has a full bath with a washer and dryer on the lower level. The cottage also offers cable TV / DVD, high-speed internet and central air. A beautiful view of Lake James sunsets can be soaked in from the large deck across the front of the cottage. The cottage also includes an outdoor gas grill for barbecuing, a great lakeside yard for games and a fire pit. The natural, sandy lake bottom is great for swimming so bring all your water toys and floats. Private dock with boat tie-ups included. Ample parking available. Linens [bath/hand towels] and bedding included, bring your own beach towels.brbrTwo cottages, Green and Blue, are typically rented by the week in the summer time, Sat 2pm to Sat 10am. We offer these cottages by the weekend in April and Sept if no weekly bookings. We also offer for rent a 22' pontoon boat to our guests!
