Take the first left past The Shops. It is the road to the Mauna Lani Spa. Take the first right into the park's parking lot. The gate is closed and locked at 6:30 pm.brbrbrbrHistoric Fishponds - This is a leisurely walk between the Mauna Lani Resort and the Baby Beach. It is a must see. An easy walk, tennis shoes are nice, but you can get away with sandals or flip flops if this is the only place you are walking.brbrbrbrHonoka'ope Beach (aka 49 Black Sands Beach) an out of the way public beach located within the 49 Black Sands Beach gated community. The only amenities are a comfort station in the parking lot and a small shower at the beach. So, you need to take food, water, beach mats, etc. The beach is a short 2 minute walk from the parking lot. It is quiet and only gets a crowd on holidays and weekends, but even then it is not usually crowded. If the wind is up, and the sea choppy, swimming can be a challenge. But otherwise a very nice beachbrbrbrbrEasy to get to. On the way to the Beach Club, take the second left past the circle. There is a marker on the right side of the road that says Shoreline Access. You are going through a gated community so you must check in with the security guard and give your name and a phone number, and your car license is written down.brbrbrbrHiking - If you really want to hike, you can take the Beach Access Trail. It goes from Puako in the north, past Holoholo Kai Beach Park, The Orchid, The Mauna Lani, through the Fishponds and Baby Beach, around Mauna Lani Point, to Honoka'ope Beach in the south.
