The Princeville Resort area is known for its gorgeous beaches, world-class golf, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, swimming, hiking, kayaking, horse-back riding, tennis, helicopter tours, dining, and shopping.brbrWe are brand new owners and just finished a complete renovation of the entire condo in August 2012. Enjoy the redesigned kitchen layout with new hardwood kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, dishes, utensils, and cookware. Relax while enjoying the new furniture, tile and bamboo flooring (no icky-sticky rental carpet!), quiet ceiling fans, luxurious bedding, linens, and bathrooms. Some people will advertise a renovated or remodeled condo, but they've only replaced a few things. Everything in our condo is new, current, comfortable and inviting.brbrThere is a king bed in the master bedroom, TWO queen beds in the guest bedroom, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The two queens in the guest bedroom allow you to sleep 5 comfortably in beds without having to use the sleeper sofa in the living room. The guest bedroom is not a master, so the 2nd bathroom in the condo is in the hallway. Our condo is on the second (top) floor so you don't have the noise of anyone above you, and you have privacy since people walking around outside can't see in through the windows like they can in bottom floor units (no fishbowl effect). The condo has everything you need for a great vacation, including beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, cooler, books, movies, games, 42 inch flat screen, WIFI and more. brbrAli'i Kai II is known in Princeville as one of the most quiet, peaceful, and immaculately landscaped complexes in the area, and our unit is in the building with the best location in the entire complex. We have a partial ocean view from our lanai and breathtaking jungle, mountain/waterfall views from the dining room, kitchen, master bedroom, and master shower windows. Ours is the only building with great views from both sides. Every other building has a parking lot only or parking lot/pool view from the dining room, kitchen, master bedroom, and master shower windows. Like most properties near the coast on Kauai, we do not have air conditioning, but we have ceiling fans in each room, and the cooling trade winds hit our condo perfectly. Also, the lanai's in our building don't face the direct sun, so you can comfortably sit out on the lanai all day long if you want to without overheating as you would in other buildings. Right outside the front door is a large greenbelt bordering a jungle canyon filled with tropical birds which sing the most beautiful songs each morning and afternoon. We are also close to the pool area (but not too close to be disturbed) with it's newly renovated and immaculate pool, separate kiddie pool, large hot tub, and ready to use gas bar-b-ques.brbrIf you have read this far it is likely that you are familiar with the Princeville Resort area and all of its condominiums and fun things to do. With no buildings in site, it feels like you are on the edge of the bluff all by yourself. Enjoy panoramic views of whitewater waves, Kilauea lighthouse, Anini Beach and Humpback whales on their winter migration. Especially popular for honeymoons and anniversaries, this prime first floor end unit has 180 degree views from all windows (living, dining, lanai and bedroom). At night get lulled to sleep by the crashing waves below and in the morning enjoy spectacular sunrises and the Layton Albatross as they glide along the thermal winds from the bluff. The balmy trade winds and the smell of plumeria and blooming flowers is the beginning of beautiful memories in paradise. brbrThe condo is situated so that you view wonderful sunrises from all the windows. This also means that the sun passes overhead by noon so you don't have any afternoon sun coming in and heating up any of the rooms. The lanai is also sheltered just enough so you get just a gentle breeze as you sit outside and take in the magic of the scenery around you. brbrMany upgrades were done in 2020. We put in all new windows. The one facing the lighthouse is a solid pane allowing an even better view. New blinds for those windows too. Just finished converting the bathtub into a walk-in shower. The bathroom vanity area and kitchen counters are all brand new We have all new living room furniture and lamps plus new chairs in the alcove. Just finished removing the popcorn ceiling and painting the whole condo. We replaced the carpet with luxury vinyl plank flooring. There are new light fixtures in the living room, alcove, kitchen and bathroom. The new patio furniture and ceiling fans (added a ceiling fan in the bedroom) are in plus new blinds in the bedroom. New bedroom furniture too. The kitchen cupboards were replaced a few years ago. We also have a full-sized washer and dryer. The 43 inch Samsung TV with HD cable in the living room provides an amazing picture plus the DVR allows you to record shows and movies to watch later. A king Serta Perfect Sleeper pillow top mattress provides a wonderful nights sleep plus there's a 27' TV for watching tv in bed. We have Spectrum wireless high speed internet plus digital phone for free local and long distance calls. Kitchen also includes blender, mixer, electric juicer, mini food processor, pitcher, tea kettle plus spices, various sugars, coffee filters, various oils and salt & pepper. Also provided is paper towels, laundry soap, bar soap and shampoo. For indoor activities there are books, games, DVD, VCR, CD player and binoculars for Humpback whales passing by or turtles swimming near the reef. For outdoor activities, there are beach chairs, towels, mats, cooler, beach umbrella and various snorkeling gear. The outdoor swimming pool was just totally refurbished and reopened August of 2023.
