Our new Hawaiian style home is situated on two acres 20 minutes south of Hilo in Hawaiian Paradise Park. The property comes with a private pool and a large patio area that is ideal for entertaining and relaxing. When you enter the house you will immediately enjoy the open design with a great room, a large dining room and a sitting area. Our great room has a complete entertainment system with an HDTV and Home Theater Audio System. The house is beautifully decorated with art from local artists. The kitchen is set up for the gourmet cook and is furnished with the most up to date appliances. Our home is tastefully furnished and has everything you need to make your trip memorable. We provide all linens and towels. There is wireless high-speed internet access (bring your laptops and Smart Phones). The property is gated so it is very private. We always feel like we are on a plantation when we stay in our home.brbrThe home has 2 bedrooms with queen beds, a den with a Murphy bed. There are 2 full baths and a private lava built outdoor shower. There is a sunroom/lanai that is perfect for dining and just plain hanging out with your friends and family. We do not use catchment water. We have our own private well to take care of all of your water needs. brbrOur home is located just a short walk from the ocean, where you can hike along the cliffs and trails. The Plantation House location makes a great home base for short trips to Volcano National Park, Hamakua Coast, Akaka Falls, Kahuna Falls, Umauma Falls, Farmers’ Markets and a nearby Black Sand Beach. brbrThere is a welcome manual in the house that shows hikes, restaurants, snorkeling beaches, the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Gardens, and much more.brbrAdditional Guest Feebr$25/person/nightbrbrCleaning Fee: $210 Based on 2 guests. Kailea means sea of dreams. It is a brand newly constructed property located in sunny Kaloli Point. It is a spacious ocean front lot with added sense of considerable privacy as it is adjacent to thousands of acres of undeveloped coastal state land, which you can access for walks, fishing, etc. If you feel energetic, you can even hike along the scenic coast, or the tropical rain forest to the gorgeous Ha'ena Beach. Feel the spray of the ocean and if you are lucky, witness the humpback whales breaching or singing close by during season. Here, you will find an unobstructed view of both open ocean as well as distant shoreline. Treat yourself to a beautiful sunrise and quite often, a romantic moon rise on the horizon. For you bird watchers, you may see a variety of rare specimens such as the io (hawk) or the pueo (owl) along with the more common frigates and nene (Hawaiian geese) flying overhead. There is much to do here and we will provide the use of water sport gear, beach chairs and towels, bicycles, caving gear, and many more. Kailea is close to many attractions on the east side of the island. We currently reside close by but are in the process of finishing the construction of the main residential dwelling on the property. In an orchard with birds and lizards of many types (both wild and domesticated), this solar powered loft cabin is a simple and unique place to stay while touring beaches and volcanos. Be aware non-toxic and non aggressive lizards might be inside the cabin. Two queen beds (one in a loft), full bathroom and kitchenette (gas burner for cooking and cooler for storing food). There is enough solar power for lights and charging electronics, but not much else (no hair dryers or irons or the power will quit). Mosaic style granite, tile, and cut lava stone floors. Hot shower or bath provided by propane. It is a couple miles off the main highway, along the route to tour the volcano, snorkeling, black sand beaches, lava flows, and hot ponds. If you book, please feel free to ask for tour recommendations based on what you like to do.

We are a 20minute drive to the volcano national park where the lava is currently overflowing and erupting. Come see it before is stops! It's truly an incredible sight. A must see!!
