Our canal is 15-20 ft deep and an awesome place to go swimming. Since the home is right on the ocean, a lot of fish and wildlife come right up to the dock. You can actually see the Molasses Reef tower from the porch. Molasses Reef is 8 miles by boat and probably the best reef in the United States. A must see. In the winter, a group of snow bird pelicans arrive and spend their warm lazy days on the dock across the canal. The pelicans, sea gulls, herons, and other birds usually put on a tremendous air show hunting for fish in the canal and also on the flat across the canal. br brThe property is centrally located between Key Largo and Islamorada, less than 10 miles north and south. John Pennekamp State Park is about 10 miles north with tour boats, snorkeling trips, kayak rentals and much more. There are lots of dive shops and charter fishing boats all around the area.brbr Harry Harris Park is about a mile away with boat ramps, a swimming area, playground, picnic area with grills, a softball field, and basketball courts. There are many dive shops in the area that would be happy to take you diving or snorkeling, or you could even go on a glass bottom boat to see the marine life without getting wet. There is so much to do here you could get exhausted doing it all. No worries, this is also the perfect place to just kick back, relax and enjoy the view.
