The closet is stocked with games, puzzles, and books for your enjoyment. The TV in the master is smart so that you can use your Amazon Prime or Netflix if the cable choices aren't enough! Our wifi is upgraded to make working from your beach house easy. We continuously evaluate what we can add or change to make the unit even more suitable for the perfect holiday. Ambiance, view, and little extras that will help you relax and have more fun. Because that's what vacation should be- right Relaxation and fun!brbrBright, airy, comfortable, newly painted, and attractive, this two bedroom/two bath condo provides a relaxing retreat from the wear and tear of daily life. Lying in bed in the master bedroom or sitting on the couch in the living room, you will have a wide view of the Atlantic and be able to hear its restful music. (Isn’t there just something about listening to the waves that puts life’s troubles in perspective ) Polywood bistro table and Adirondack chairs, a two/three person glider, and a comfortable rocker on the generously sized, north-facing balcony furnish a shady retreat on which to sit and sip coffee or sodas while watching the kids in the pools, the dolphins play with each other, or the sea gulls chase the shrimp boats.brbrOn rainy days, guests can watch DVD’s in either bedroom or in the living room. A large plasma TV hangs on the wall across from the bed in the master - a favorite feature for some of our guests. The living room also features a 42 inch plasma TV for your entertainment desires. The master & living room both have cable, of course. We keep a small collection of classic DVDs in case the cable goes out after a big storm, which rarely happens but we like to be prepared!brbrWith a comfortable California King-Sized bed, the master is a haven. The bedside table even sports a charging station in the top drawer for all your electronic devices or your Cpap machine. Hopefully this will enable our guests to remember their cords better. brThe master also has enough dressers and drawers for guests to put away all of their clothing, odds and ends. Hopefully this will enable you to unwind in a clean, uncluttered space so that your mind and spirit can rest and breathe during your time of respite. Other additions to keep our guests comfortable and happy are small fans for each bedroom so that those of you who always pack a fan for the white noise can leave one more thing at home.brbrThe kitchen comes fully equipped with coffee maker, coffee grinder, French press, pod coffee maker, blender, mixer, crock pot, air fryer, waffle maker, egg cooker, rice cooker, espresso cups, a milk frother, cookware, utensils, bakeware, glassware, a number of basic spices, starter coffee pods, tea bags, and creamer/sugar, dinner service and flatware for those who enjoy (gasp!) actually cooking on their holidays. (I do.) Thanksgiving and Christmas guests will even find a turkey roaster to prepare their holiday meals. We even have an electric kettle for our European friends. brbrYou’ll also find a small laundry room inside the unit with washer/dryer/ironing board/iron for your convenience. Spacious closets allow you to unpack and put away the suitcases so you don’t spend your vacation tripping over STUFF! Each bath contains hand soap at the sink, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in each shower, toothbrushes and small toothpaste, and a hair blower. We try not to skimp and leave you without something you need, thus you can usually find laundry pods, trash bags both big and small, starter paper goods, and so on. I think you’d be hard pressed to find another condo this size and price that has so much available for you. Just bring your clothes and food! As hosts, we go stay ourselves occasionally just taking food and clothing to see if anything is lacking. It’s not! Our most common guest review is that we have EVERYTHING. brbrBeach chairs and fun, colourful beach towels are all provided so that you don’t have to pack the farm when you travel. Try the Turkish beach towels that dry quickly and don’t hold sand. Super luxurious and comfortable. We have also left a small collection of pastimes for your enjoyment. Boogie boards, beach toys, cutesie little things for kids to search for in the pool, kites, two beach umbrellas, fishing poles, bait buckets, ice chests, etc are also kept in the closet on the balcony. Our balcony closet also sports one of those cool and useful beach carts into which you can load all of the above mentioned items and roll it down to the beach on wide wheels that won't get bogged down in the sand! I'm not sure how many two bedroom condos provide so many great things for their guests and it makes us happy to be able to do so. Of course, it does happen that our guests forget what they brought and what was already in the condo, so sometimes those items walk away. Though we can’t promise they’re still there, all of these items were in the condo last time we visited. And, of course, all linens for bed and bath are provided. Due to fire codes, we are no longer able to provide a barbecue grill for our guests to use on the balcony. We apologize for the inconvenience. brbrIf you admire any of our things, I’ll be happy to provide links for you to purchase them. We’ve experienced some heavy seasons of theft of the nice things we try to provide for our guests. Because of this, we’ve had to begin to keep an inventory that housekeeping checks after check out. Guests will be charged for the items that disappear. We hate this unpleasantness, but our finances can no longer support restocking items that are stolen at our own expense. We will add a $100 fee plus the cost of the appliance or linens to our VRBO claim if we discover theft. If you get home and realize you accidentally put a towel of ours in your luggage, please don’t worry, just email me and mail it back. Mistakes happen. brbrWe are constantly upgrading our furnishings to keep the condo a bright and happy place to be. From the coverlets on the beds to the sofa in the living room, return guests are surprised by the new things they discover here each year.brbrThe complex in which this condo is located, St. Augustine Beach and Tennis Condos, is an ocean front complex just 2/10 of a mile from the famous Oasis Grille. The wide beach is only 300 feet from the condo across a private, coded access boardwalk. It is 3/10 of a mile to Winn Dixie and half a mile to the Publix grocery store. The historic district is only five miles away; the pier 2 miles. A third floor unit with access to two elevators, luggage carts, and grocery baskets, it is easy entry and exit. It has a reputation for being family friendly rather than for attracting the party crowd, and the little courtyard is beautifully landscaped and inviting. You will find the complex clean, well maintained, and attractive with its two large pools. brbrThrough no fault of ours, the twin bedroom has no cable. When the complex changed companies, they were not able to wire for that room. Guests can use the TV for videos or games.brbrIf you are interested in our cleaning protocols, feel free to ask. brbrIf the tax rate changes or if the cleaners change our cleaning price, we will adjust the fees accordingly. Please note that there is a pet fee of $50 per pet per stay.brbr***BUILDING PROJECTS*** brBeginning in October 2023 and lasting until the end of December 2023, Beacher's Lodge is expecting to have a few more projects being completed.brbr1. Crescent Beach Dune Renourishment - Mid November to December 2023:brCrescent Beach will be scheduled for a dune renourishment project. While we await further details, please be aware that this project may affect our beach access. Beacher's lodge may have to shut down their beach access. We are hopeful that the boardwalk will remain open to be able to guide you past the work area. However, please understand that we will be impacted, and there might be sand trucks working in front of our property during this time. The more the information becomes available, we will be sure to pass along. br- Work for Crescent beach is set for early to mid November. We heard an estimate of around 11/9 but that date is not set. br- The work schedule will be Monday through Saturday from 6:30 am to 7pm. br- They believe the project will be quick moving and anticipate being in front of our property directly for only a couple of days. During these 2-3 days our boardwalk and access to the beach will have to remain closed for working hours (6:30 am to 7pm). They cannot provide the exact dates of this closure, so we will have to provide that information as soon as it is provided to us. br- They will be closing the beach parking lot next door to us for the duration of the time they will be working on the beach in our area and will not allow pedestrian traffic through or use of the county beach boardwalk, so this will not be an option when our beach access is closed. While they stated they would not be parking heavy equipment there, they do intend to use this area next door for staging. br- They will be adding another dune directly in front of the existing dunes and the height is approximately 13' in height. They will plant sea oats in this newly formed dune.br- The purpose of this additional dune is more sacrificial, they say there is a 20% chance each year that a storm will come and wash away this sand, but the aim is to keep it from washing away the remainder of the existing dunes behind this new sand dune. br- Because our boardwalk extends 50' past the dunes, we do not expect our beach stairs to be impacted, they will put dirt underneath the boardwalk and around the pilings.br- There will be large equipment - dump trucks and excavators. This equipment will be noisy. They will bring vibration detection equipment to make sure that the vibrations do not exceed the allowed threshold, but we may hear some noise and/or vibrations during the working hours. brbr2. Property Maintenance Tasks - October 23rd, 2023 to December 22nd 2023:brBeacher's Lodge will have Complete Property Services return this fall to finish a punch list of items on property. In addition to the punch list, there is a small list of change order requests that will need to be approved and could potentially fill in some of the timeline provided below. From 10/23/23 until possibly 12/22/23 there will be workers present on property Monday- Friday, 8am to 6pm. There will be no property work performed on Saturdays and Sundays, there will be no work on Thanksgiving Thursday or Friday and we hope to be completed prior to the Christmas holiday week. brbrIn the timeline below you will see specific weeks where we will be working on repainting the yellow transition stripes at the end of each alcove. When this work was done in early spring, there were too many visitors and people stepped and tracked through this yellow paint. Beacher's Lodge is requesting that we restrict occupancy of our condo during the specified week for the floor our condo is on.
