This site is raw and a work in progress. It is the ultimate escape from the real world - from fishing to boating, tubing rainbow river , riding trails. This is the perfect pit stop location. To access property it requires going on a sand driveway- most cars can make it but better with suv or pick up- also 20 miles of 4x4 trails for jeeps at the top of road. Again this is a primitive camping site- using the bathroom is by going in the woods on property. Squatty potty on property. A bar just down the road day and night w food.

Beautiful Juniper Springs, Silver Springs and Alexander Springs are all a hop, skip, and jump away. brbrThis fully loaded A frame is stocked with a shed full of fishing gear. Mosey down to the boathouse and try your luck fishing right in the backyard at the canal.brbrThere is a blue notebook under the coffee table with general information. It includes the springs which there are TWO Salt and Sliver Glen either way from house not more than 10 minuets. brThe small town of Salt Springs has a little restaurant, bait shop, grocery store, ice cream stand, Dollar General, and a Subway at the gas station. Palatka and Silver Springs are about 20-30 minutes away for shopping. brI like going to Silver Springs-Ocala for shopping and eating out. Mount Dora is a great town to visit as well. They have a HUGE flea market on the weekend. Great restaurants and shops, love this town!

Sometimes we like to roast our marshmallows and hotdogs while enjoying the sunset too! In addition to our fire pit, there is nice communal fire pit area with bench swings near the north end of the shoreline for that exceptional sunset view!brbrOur Florida home away from home, is nestled in the heart of The Ocala National forest! Talk about back to nature! Enjoy the ATV trails or swim at the Healing Springs just across the street from Salt Springs Resort, where our home away from home is! Enjoy the wildlife as you explore the area! Salt Springs Resort is a fully secured, gated resort in Salt Springs, Florida.brbrWe are in a convenient area, with a couple of restaurants, a post office, laundry mat, and Dollar General within walking distance!brbrOur home sleeps 4 comfortably or up to 6 with use of our air-mattresses or cots. There are special events scheduled sometimes on the weekends here. Easter egg hunts, trick or treating, dancing, poker, bingo and all kinds of fun! Outside during the Summer there are 2 swimming pools, one for adults and one for kids! They each have an accompanying hot tub/spa or kiddie pool! During the winter they usually only keep one side open for everyone to share. brbrInside this place is equipped with pool tables, air hockey and a ping pong table too! We have ping pong and billiard stuff in the camper for you to use while there. You can also just stop in to read one of the many books in stock to share or play a game with a loved one. brbrOutside of the Lodge, near the pools you will find a playground for the kids, shuffle board, and a pickle ball court with a basketball hoop on one side.brbrOur favorite place to go in Florida is to the local Warm Springs. They are crystal clear springs that have very deep limestone sinkholes that release millions of gallons of water each day! brbrIn the winter time, when visiting Salt Springs Recreation, across the street, you may be lucky enough to spend some time with a few manatees! They swim up to the surface in the springs to get warm in the winter. Many people are lucky enough, especially early in the morning, to swim with them! brbrDon't be fooled by the term Warm Springs though....They feel cold! Don't get me wrong it's beautiful and very refreshing to swim in such clean, mineral rich water, but 72 degrees Fahrenheit is kinda cold. That hasn't stopped us though. It's well worth the visit!! brbrLet me tell you, between the trails and the springs, plus so many other places to see, we never want to leave this place!brbrOur full kitchen is equipped with a gas stove top an oven, a full size fridge, coffee maker and basic cooking and baking dishes and utensils. Towels, washcloths, blankets, linens and pillows are provided. brbrOur yard games include a mini bean bags set, ladder golf, and a set of full sized bean bags to used on the boards near the pavilion, adjacent to the dog park. There is even a pool stick with a set of balls, and some pickle ball paddles in case you need them! brbrWe have a nice collection of indoor family games in our home too! brbrWe do not charge for extra guests, we understand that some families don't mind close sleeping quarters. Our unit only has two beds to accommodate up to four people, but if you don't mind recliners, air mattresses and cots, feel free to have more than that! We just ask that you be respectful of our neighbors and property. We have extra linens for your use, but will only provide blankets for the two beds. brbrPack your food, clothes and personal hygiene items and you are set to go!brbr*Please note, there will be a $35 resort fee added to your stay - per Salt Springs Resort. The guest room consist of a full bed and a bunk bed (full over twin). There are 2 bathrooms each has a shower. The living room has a tv with smart capabilities. We also have a gaming console table that consist of 412 classic video games. The outside has a weber kettle grill smoker and Weber gas grill, along with comfy seating and some rocking chairs to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Have a fun game of ping pong too! Just a heads up—there is a security camera at the entrances. Also, this home runs on a private well system (super common for rural lake properties around here). It was recently updated and replaced, so everything is working great.brbrThe water is safe for drinking, cooking, and showering. If you’re picky about taste, you may want to grab some bottled water during your stay.brbrBeing in the heart of a National Forest means sharing space with nature, so keep an eye out for deer, foxes, raccoons, black bears, coyotes, alligators, snakes (venomous and non)and an incredible variety of native birds. Every day brings the chance to experience Florida’s wild beauty up close. Please do not feed any wildlife. Always be cautious. Please make sure to put all trash in shed and lock it to deter any wildlife visitors! brbrThe home is located in a small neighborhood right off Lake Delancy. It is a 2 mile drive through the forest on unpaved roads. Cell service can be spotty. We recommend having the home address, door code and wifi password before turning off hwy 19. brbrPlease be mindful that the lots in the neighborhood are narrow. When facing the lake please park to the left of the home. And make sure not to impede on the neighbors property when parking. We can fit a trailer and 2 trucks parrell to the side of the house brYou can also parrell park along side of the home on the road.brbrPlease do not park on the vacant lot before the home.brbrAlso be aware of FWC regulations for hunting, fishing, and utilizing the ONF trail system. Please check out recreation gov for required trail pass.
