Stayed Jan 31, 2026The house is nice and the view/lake/backyard is wonderful. People should know that the house has a horrible smell for the hot water only. The smell of rotten eggs is so strong it smells up the entire house when the hot water is on. The host said that is how all the water in the area smells, but it was only the hot. We had to go somewhere else in the area to shower and there was not a smell with the hot water. It seemed to be a hot water heater issue and not the area's water. Also, the house is left unlocked when you check in. We arrived late and it made us uncomfortable to walk into an unlocked house in the dark.

Stayed Aug 1, 2024My family and I are frequent visitors to the Redwood Cottage and always have a great time. The weather was great and the fishing right off the dock was amazing. Ed has always been a great host. We have booked with him for at least 15 years.
