It is a substantial six double bedroom property located in the heart of the thriving village of St Agnes.brbrRosevean House is arranged over three floors with six double bedrooms, three of which are en suite and a further two shower rooms. It has a large open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room with bay windows overlooking the garden and on the lower ground floor benefits from a large games room with a full-size pool table and table football, as well as a TV/Cinema room.There is a large terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue, and an additional terrace adjacent to the games room which catches the evening sun. Beautiful well stocked gardens surround the property with ample parking and plenty of space to store bikes, surfboards etc.brbrSt Agnes has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tin mining was of vital importance to the village, but today it is also well known for its thriving arts and crafts and for its many excellent restaurants and cafes. Rosevean House is half a mile from Trevaunance Cove which is a fantastic beach for surfers but also for those simply wishing to enjoy the scenery or explore the splendid rock pools. There are two other nearby beaches, Chapel Porth which is owned by the National Trust and Porthtowan which was recently described by the Telegraph as the UK’s best beach for learning to surf. The area is spectacular for walking but is also becoming increasingly popular for cyclists.brbr**There will be scaffolding at the rear of the property from mid January 2025 for 8 weeks in order to repair the stained glass window. St Agnes itself has a butcher, two bakers, two small supermarkets, two greengrocers, and a fish “ deli “ and there is a fishmonger on the way to Chapel Porth – so it is easy to “shop local”.brSurf lessons and equipment hire are available at Trevaunance Cove and coasteering and guided kayaking are further options. Otherwise, play a game of tennis at St Agnes Tennis Club where you can “pay to play.”brFor the less adventurous, St Agnes is well known as a centre for arts and crafts and there are a wealth of workshops and galleries to explore. Please note that we've recently added a new annex in the garden, it is not available for guest use.brbrGuest Access:brGuests will have access to the whole property and garden but not to the annex in the garden.brbrThe Neighborhood:brThe cottage is tucked away just off the high street so is within easy walking distance to local amenities, but still in a quiet and peaceful location. St Agnes has a wide array of cafes, restaurants, pubs, local craft shops, surf shops and more. brbrA short walk down the hill and you will arrive at Trevaunance Cove. During the Winter/Autumn months this is a popular surfing beach, but in Summer is usually very calm and safe for little ones. Water sports hire is also available down in the cove. From here, beautiful coastal paths lead off in both directions. A short walk East and you will arrive at the lesser-know Trevellas Cove. Continue on to find fields of blooming flowers in Spring and historic tin mine ruins! brbrOnly 5 minutes drive round the headland is the white sand beach of Porthtowan. Another popular surfing destination, this beach has surf schools, gear rental and lovely cafes overlooking the ocean.brbrGetting Around:brDue to the remote nature of Cornwall, a vehicle is recommended for getting the most of your time here. Unrestricted parking is available in the surrounding streets including on Polbreen Lane and Lawrence Road.
