Family-friendly with travel cot, toys and games, plus study and utility room. Peaceful yet close to town. Ample private parking and dogs welcome.brbrbrbrThe Space:brbrTucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac in Padstow is this super stylish house for eight. Gorgeous views extend from the garden out over the River Camel, best enjoyed with a drink or two up on the sunny south-west facing terrace. In the summer months, cook up meals on the Kitchen Aid gas BBQ.brbrbrbrBig French doors lead into the kitchen, harmoniously blending outdoor and indoor living whilst also allowing light to cascade in. The living and dining spaces, located on the top floor, maximise the surrounding views and have been decorated to the highest standard. The kitchen is spacious, open-plan and has all the mod cons you need to cook up big feasts, including a Swan Espresso coffee machine, food processor and hand blender, large American-style fridge freezer with ice machine and more!brbrbrbrNext door is the dining room with elegant Scandinavian-style furniture, exposed brick walls and pendant lighting. You'll love picking up local produce from town and heading home to enjoy big, sociable nights in. On cooler nights, the spacious living room is a cosy spot to curl up on the sofa with a book or a film on the smart TV. Equipped with all the modern apps and cable Sky TV, you certainly won't struggle to find something to watch! There is also a selection of board games for you to enjoy.brbrbrbrThe tasteful décor continues into the bedrooms, which are accompanied by four bathrooms. The master on the first floor boasts a king-size bed, fitted wardrobes and an en-suite. On the ground floor, you'll find two further double rooms as well as a room with two singles. There are three ensuite bathrooms with showers in total, plus a family bathroom with a shower and bath and one WC. The bedrooms ooze tranquillity, having been kitted out with premium furnishings and luxurious bedding. Plus, there are idyllic views out across the countryside to be enjoyed from the comfort of your bed. brbrbrbrFamilies are well catered for. You can make use of the travel cot, high chair, children's books & toys, dinnerware and a large garden to run wild in. brbrbrbrAdditionally, there is a separate utility room with a washing machine and dryer, as well as a self-contained study for those on a working holiday. This is a holiday home that has been lovingly restored and decorated with complete comfort and quality in mind. Its proximity to Padstow is ideal for exploring, but the off-the-beaten-track location enables you to relax in total peace and relaxation.brbrbrbrAmple private parking is available on the driveway for several vehicles. Dogs welcome with a fee of £20/dog (max 2).brbrbrbrGuest Access:brbrGuests will have full access to the property.brbrbrbrThe Neighborhood:brbrPadstow is one of the UK's most loved coastal towns. It features a charming harbour, winding streets and a plethora of independent shops. It's also known as Cornwall's ultimate foodie destination, with Rick Stein's famous restaurant and cookery school on the harbour. From the property, you can walk into Padstow town within 20 minutes - a real gem given the difficulties of parking in summer! However, it's a hilly walk down, so it may not be suitable for those with mobility limitations.brbrbrbrThe Camel Trail starts in Padstow, following the route of the old railway line to Bodmin, and is much loved by walkers and cyclists (bikes may be hired at Padstow or Wadebridge). The path winds its way alongside the riverbank through this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its abundant wildlife. The estuary is a favourite stopping off point for migrant wading birds (up to 90 species!) who feed on the fertile mud flats during their journeys to and from the northern breeding grounds.brbrbrbrThere are plenty of beaches close to Padstow that are well worth a visit. A short walk from the house leads you to the estuary, or you can pick up the ferry from Padstow harbour over to Rock. This is a beautiful beach on the river mouth with fantastic swimming opportunities and pubs for a tipple at sundown! It is only a drive of 10-15 minutes to the lovely sandy, surfing beaches of Trevone, Harlyn and Constantine Bay, or you could be at the iconic Bedruthan Steps in under 20 minutes.brbrbrbrYou're in a prime spot to experience the very best of North Cornwall. For delicious food and a vibrant atmosphere, we'd recommend heading to Scot and Bab's just outside of Mawgan Porth. It's a 20-minute drive, and just the best summer dining spot for a rustic feast!brbrbrbrGetting Around:brbrIf you get to the property by car, there is ample free parking for multiple vehicles on the driveway. brbr brbrIf not, the house is easily accessible via public transport with trains operated by Great Western Railway running from London Paddington directly into Newquay station - just 28 minutes drive to the house. There are also lots of buses operating if you would like to visit the surrounding areas, as well as an airport at Newquay if you prefer to fly!brbrbrbrOther Things to Note:brbrNo smoking inside the property. We strictly do not allow party groups, including hen or stag dos. brbrbrbrThe property has a Ring Doorbell, which is a smart video doorbell connected to an App. This is used to assist with any issues you may have during check-in. brbrbrbrWell-behaved dogs are welcome with a fee of £20/dog (max 2). It is on the condition that they are not allowed on the soft furnishings or in the bedrooms, are cleaned up after and are not left in the property unattended.brbrbrbrInteraction with Guests:brbrWe will be available via message, email and phone during your stay. Private Vacation Home

Unique, private and luxurious cliff top eco home

Padstow, Padstow, United Kingdom

AtmospherebrSurrounded by breathtaking coastal views, Spin is a luxurious and unique coastal home perched atop the cliff at Treyarnon Bay. This truly one of a kind house has been designed with relaxation and style in mind and provides unparalleled luxury with underfloor heating, waterfall showers and a grand piano. Spin is the perfect contemporary retreat for those seeking to get away from it all and spend an unforgettable holiday by the beautiful Cornish coast.brbrThe approach to Spin is via a private lane. The crisp white, understated entrance only gives a tiny hint at the luxurious space that lies within as you enter through a carefully planted and sheltered courtyard. Spin certainly takes organic architecture to a new level. Cleverly hidden in the headland, the house has an open plan living/dining space that is flooded with light and takes full advantage of the spectacular views of the North Cornwall coast. Step outside and head up to the sunken roof terrace. On a clear day, it's possible to see as far as St Ives to the west and Bude in the east. There is ample opportunity for great walks straight from the door as the house has its own direct access to the South West Coast Path.brbrSleepingbrSpin has four beautifully appointed bedrooms, offering flexibility according to your needs. Two original bedrooms have comfortable king size beds, ensuite bathrooms, and walk in wardrobes with plenty of space to hang up holiday clothes. The two new bedrooms are served by a new and stunning shared bathroom with another shower room close-by. The new Spin has been designed to sleep 8: one of the new bedrooms can be configured as twin or super king from Devon based company 'NaturalMat' and the other sizeable bedroom / games room offers a king-size 'Furl' sofa-bed chosen for comfort and / or two single fold-up beds. Generous wardrobe space is provided in both new bedrooms. Luxury bedlinen and towels are provided for all beds except the fold ups - if guests wish to use these, they should request them so we can make them available, but guests will need to bring their own linen and towels.brbrBathroomsbrThere are four modern and spacious bathrooms. Two are ensuite, one is a family bathroom near the entrance, providing a large walk-in shower loo and basin, and one serves the two new bedrooms. The master ensuite bathroom has a separate bath and a walk in waterfall shower, with a push button frosted glass screen - to make the bathroom private from the landing outside, or to allow light to flood in from the headland. The second has an over-bath waterfall shower. The newest bathroom, added as part of the extension, is flooded with natural light from a skylight, with waterfall shower, ideally positioned between the two new bedrooms.brbrKitchen, living and diningbrThe upstairs living area is where Spin really shines. Floor to ceiling windows in the living area are designed to take full advantage of the panoramic views across the bay and up the coast. In cooler weather, light the fire and cosy up in front of the TV which is ingeniously hidden away in the ceiling. A Sonos system extends to all the living space in the house. There is a baby grand piano for the musically minded and a dedicated work area for when needs must. The B&B Italia Bend sofa is by Patricia Urquiola.brbrFinished with clean white units, the kitchen is extremely well equipped with Miele appliances including an induction hob, oven, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Tableware is by Jasper Conran at Wedgwood and there is a Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine available for guests to use. A large Hans Wegner dining table seats up to 8 - sit by the window to enjoy the views over the headland and out to sea.brbrGym / yoga studiobrThe gym, purpose built, is available for guests' use and features a Cybex recumbent bike and cross trainer, yoga mats, a selection of weights and resistance bands and a practice putting green.brbrUtility RoombrHere you will find a large wine cooler, the washer and dryer plus some additional freezer space. Just inside the front door and next door to the utility room is a further shower room - ideal for surfers coming off the beach!brbrOutsidebrSympathetically designed to sit unobtrusively within the landscape, Spin can barely be seen from the lane. The grassy roof extends from each side of the property and is largely left untouched to blend into the natural environment. The front courtyard of the house is a real suntrap and has been softened with planting as part of the 2025 redesign, with a bistro set for alfresco eating and drinking. Steps lead up to a large sunken roof terrace making this the perfect place to sunbathe and watch the sun go down over the horizon.brbrGuests have access to an outbuilding for storage of beach equipment and body boards which are available for guests to use during their stay. The new games room / bedroom has plenty of space for table tennis with a table folded away.brbrSpin is most suited to adults and older children. There are no stairgates and the stairs to two of the sleeping areas are open between the living and kitchen areas. The roof terrace is sunken but isn't fenced off from the grassed roof of the house. There are high drops to the driveway so smaller children would need to be watched and not allowed to explore up here alone.brbrNearbybrOne of Cornwall’s best beaches is minutes down the coast path. You can enjoy its large sweep of sand, wonderful rocks for climbing and pooling, or unbeatable headland walking both north and south. There is also Treyarnon’s natural swimming pool carved into the rocks which can be found a short walk out on the coastal path below the headland. Surfing is also good at Treyarnon – receiving plenty of waves, but a little more manageable than some of the most exposed beaches. Mid to high tide is best. Lifeguards are in place at Treyarnon, May through September.brbrFor a change, you can walk to Constantine Bay which is almost as close, in less than 10 minutes across the flat and easy headland. It’s fine even for children in pushchairs – and even if carrying your beach gear and picnic!brbrFor local shopping, Treyarnon Bay Stores in the beach car park can be very useful. For all manner of provisions and essentials, as well as your daily milk, bread and newspaper, it’s perfect. For a larger choice, you can walk to Constantine Bay Stores in about 15 minutes. Here you will find a range of quality food that may allow you to really avoid driving all week. Next door is Des’ surf shop for all manner of surf gear, to buy or rent.brbrLocally, the Youth Hostel is just a 5 minute walk from the house across the beach at Treyarnon. It is open to non-residents at different times of the day – for drinks, coffee and snacks. It has improved its range, and really is pretty good now for a light lunch or evening drinks in a fantastic setting and with wonderful views. Beach barbecues are also a regular feature of warm evenings at Treyarnon. Enjoy!
