Stayed Aug 22, 2025This place really exceeded our expectations. It is much bigger than it looks in the photos and it is so well appointed - cosy blankets, board games, all kitchen utensils and crockery, a hair dryer, fluffy towels etc. It’s also next to a pizza shop selling the most delicious pizzas, and a short walk to a small corner shop and other cafes. We really enjoyed staying here.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We spent a lovely week here in this comfortable and well-equipped cottage. The welcome pack was a lovely bonus after a very long drive. The convenient location meant we could walk to the beach and shops and explore without needing the car. The cottage had a very relaxing atmosphere.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We enjoyed a lovely stay at Cob Cottage, it was just like a home from home with a few little extras. The welcome pack & White Company toiletries were a lovely addition, the bedding & towels were of a very good quality which added to the experience. St Agnes is a lovely location with plenty of walks from the village & plenty of places to eat & drink. We stayed in March but had beautiful weather which meant we could enjoy late afternoon sun in the garden after a full day walking & then light the log burner & relax in the comfortable lounge in the evening. The only slight issue is the parking is tight if you have a larger car but not a huge problem

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Cottage was lovely, bedrooms were perfect for 2 adults and 1 child. Could easily fit two children in the twin room. Bathrooms were beautiful. Towels and bed linen etc were nice and soft. Lounge - lovely to light the fire in the evening, one sofa was more comfortable than the other, but both ok to sit on for an hr or two, to relax. Kitchen and utility had everything we needed. We used the washing machine whilst there too which worked with no issues. Heating and hot water is run with a Hive system which was good for us as we have the same at home. A huge thank you to Cornwall hideaways for their understanding when I asked if we could delay our departure due to Storm Eunice being at it’s peak at 10am - they responded quickly and reassuringly, saying we could stay as long as needed, until it felt safe enough to travel - this took a lot of worry out of our journey home and I am hugely thankful - we would definitely return to Cob Cottage again and would also not hesitate to recommend Cornwall Hideaways to book with!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed in January, the week started with really bad weather, cob cottage had all the space we needed to dry us, our dog and our kit. Then light the log burner and feel cozy. Nicely furnished and loads of stuff, more like home than a holiday let. The only thing that wasn't great was hideaway holidays, they had only just started cleaning when we arrived at 4pm, we asked them to let us know when we could get in and they said later they rang at 5:30 but they didn't, we walked past at 6:00, saw it empty and went in. Only minor negative is that parking a large estate is tricky but I found one position that just about worked for us. St Agnes is a great little village for a winter break.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great cottage, perfect location for us, lovely and warm especially with the log burner going every night, very well equiped too, village was great too, and we used a lot of the local business in the village.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This was our third stay in this cottage. We love it here! It is so well situated in a lovely village that has some great shops. Its a few mins walk to these shops and the local pub. We often just hang out in the village itself. It is also well located near the A30 for day trips to other parts of Cornwall. The cottage itself has everything you could need on a holiday. We were three adults and a dog. We always have a very comfortable stay and cam thoroughly recommend this cottage.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We loved staying at Cob Cottage for the second time, especially for the great location to beaches and St Agnes town. It could do with another sofa in the front room and a larger adult bed but we loved the blue decor and little garden at the back.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This cottage was in an excellent location and a great base for exploring north Cornwall further. The bathrooms have been recently renovated and are very clean and modern. What let it down was the comfort of the beds. All the mattresses were uncomfortable. Of the single beds in the twin room one was a trundle bed, very noisy when the occupant moved in bed and felt unstable. My son ended up sleeping on the floor on the mattress to have a more comfortable nights sleep. The owner could do with investing in some new mattresses or mattress toppers for guests comfort as the other features of the cottage were excellent and we would have gladly stayed again if we could have slept well.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Cob Cottage is extremely cosy with very comfortable beds and tip top bathrooms. The kitchen is well-equipped and leads to a perfect sun-trap garden that let's you make the most of the sun any time of day. The dishwasher and washer/dryer are easy to use. And the icing on the cake is the parking space outside, which is a bonus in this very busy village. St Agnes is well provisioned with good pubs, a free car park and a super Chinese takeaway. The only downside to Cob Cottage is the very popular Pizza takeaway next door which means a steady stream of cars outside from 5-9pm and early morning deliveries (6.30am!). But you won't mind the cars if you are enjoying the BBQ in the suntrap garden at the back!. We had a wonderful stay in our favourite Cornish village.
