As we have dug into the history and heard the stories of this place, we are all the more honored to have been able to bring her back to life. Memories are infused in the walls and we did our best to honor the original character of the home during the restoration. The Welcome Inn was originally built by the King family in the 1870’s on a 160-acre working farm. Over the past one hundred and fifty years, we know of only four previous owners. We have met two of the families who lived and loved and made their mark in this place. The restoration itself took just under a year and was a massive undertaking. We faced extensive rot in the floors and walls, termite damage, hundreds of thousands of bees living within the exterior columns, and had to bring the house up to code with electrical and plumbing and a functioning kitchen. We have fallen hard for this beautiful home and cannot wait to open the doors to share it with all of you. It wasn’t an easy restoration but it was most assuredly worth it.brbrbrbrThe Welcome Inn is intended for overnight accommodations only. If you’re planning to use the property for anything beyond a standard vacation stay (such as a gathering, wedding, baby shower, or corporate event) please reach out in advance for prior approval.
