This beautiful log cottage has large windows that let in lots of light. It has a beautiful, custom, sauna/shower with a rain shower head and a washer/dryer. There is an open floor plan with the kitchen, dinning and living room all in one room.Upstairs has a queen bed and 2 twin beds with a large built in hammock. You will not want to miss, a stay in a one of a kind cottage on beautiful acreage located in the heart of Fairbanks with two shared hot tubs and a barrel sauna.brbrAll of our properties are self check in but we are available to answer questions or help with any issues anytime.brbrThe cottage is located right in the middle of Fairbanks, there will be some train and plane noise. There are 4 treeshoues, a main lodge also located on the 3 acre property.brbrThere are 5 other house located in this private neighborhood. We also have 4 newly built treehouses on the property. There are two shared hot tubs. There are 2 parking spots right in front of the cottage for guests use. We recommend renting a car preferably an AWD and 4 wheel drive to visit all the unique places around Fairbanks. Cabs, Lyfts and Ubers are also available.brbrThis cottage has an open floor plan. The main floor has a gorgeous kitchen with a gold farmhouse sink, tile backsplash and black stainless steel appliances with a dining table that seats 6. An open living room with plenty of seating with a pullout queen hid a bed. The bathroom is also on the main floor with a giant sauna shower . When you walk up the spiral staircase you will find a comfy queen bed, 2 twin beds and a built in hammock. Relax in the hammock that hangs over the living room and enjoy this unique space.brThere is shared laundry in the bathhouse.brbrThe cottage has a shared laundry in the bathhouse. We are also on a well and there might be some discoloration in the water. But there is a reverse osmosis faucet drinking water in the kitchen.

A romantic getaway in the beautiful Goldstream Valley, only 15 minutes away from town and away from the city's light pollution! Between September and April, there are amazing aurora-viewing opportunities from the yard or through the yurt skylight. This yurt offers privacy amongst the spruce trees and will make you feel close to nature! When the ground is frozen, you have close access (1/2 mile) to the Goldstream winter trail system--fun for night aurora walks, cross-country classic skiing, and/or fat-tire biking! The Goldstream Yurt is equipped for all weather, well-insulated from the elements relative to other yurts and will keep you cozy when it is 40 below outside.brbr*There is an outhouse a short walk away from the front door, no indoor toilet or shower. There is running hot and cold water in the kitchen!br*The kitchen sink drains into a bucket, not outside! I expect guests to be aware of the bucket levels under the sink and to dump them when they are almost full (by trees outside).br*I have 1 security camera outside facing the driveway/porch of the yurt for security.br*As the yurt is located in the bottom of a valley, you will hear sled dogs howling across the valley at times. Although there are no neighboring teams, I want to give guests a heads up that you may hear these noises as yurts are not the most sound-proof structures!br* I offer a solo stove during September - April months for outdoor fires under the aurora, with firewood and kindling provided for use! The kitchen is stocked with the essential utensils and basic spices, condiments and cooking oil. With place settings for four, you can choose to stay in, or go out on the town. There's plenty of towels in the bathroom, shampoo and soap, as well as a hair-dryer if you don't want to pack your own.brbrGuests have access to most areas of the property, the only off limits area would be our residence and the immediate surrounding area. There is a large circular private road off of the main road, and each guest house has it's own two car off-street parking area.brbrKayaks are available for guests to use, as well as a variety of outdoor equipment like hiking packs, snowshoes, hammocks, and tents. The stairs will take you up to a big open loft with a queen bed, spruce ceiling, and a cozy sitting area. This loft is open to the rest of the home and is warm as the heat rises.
