One bedroom has a queen size bed, the other two twins. There is also a carpeted attached garage that gives additional space and has a double bed. You actually enter the house through the garage so, except for the door that makes it handy to bring in luggage, you wouldn't know it's a garage. brbrIt sits on a three and a half acre lot right next to the cabin with the addition that we have used for VRBO for the past two years. The original owner built what is now our home for them and this cabin for his folks in the 1950’s. We have lived here for 50 years and find it a special place.

The bedrooms have white noise machines and blackout curtains for your convenience.brGuest accessbrGuests will have access to the entire cabin, back yard, both side yards and front yards. The shed and greenhouse are not for guest usage and are locked. Two Rivers has a large musher presence with multiple options for booking that once in a lifetime sled dog ride.brbrIn front of the cabin you will find a 15 acre field perfect for 360 degree viewing of the Northern Lights in all their glory. The view from the front deck is amazing with the Alaska Range in the background on clear days. brbrAfter exploring the local area you will not be disappointed coming back to spend the night in a cozy log cabin that was just remodeled in Nov 2022. In the loft you will find a queen and a full bed as well as a couch located in the living room. The wall mounted TV can be positioned as needed for viewing throughout the main floor. If you do not know what that means, do not fear, I will explain!brbrAurora Outpost is located on a private 100 acre homestead just 10 minutes outside Fairbanks in the hills above Fox, AK. This cabin is a great way for couples and newlyweds to disconnect from the hectic world we live in and enjoy the peace and quiet of tranquility and seclusion on your own private 100 acres. Located at the end of a quiet residential road, through a gate, and continue along the private 1/2 mile long driveway as it meanders through the forest to the cabin. Truly a place to experience Alaska the way it was meant to be!brbr The cabin does not have electricity, however, many of the typical comforts of modern life can still be enjoyed. Provided in the cabin are several battery operated lanterns that can be moved and hung in various places in and around the cabin, giving a true rustic experience while providing ample lighting to enjoy the space. There are also candles that can be used to set a romantic mood while cooking and enjoying a meal cooked on the propane stove. The cabin has two sources of heat, a propane heater that provides a beautiful fire that warms the space as well as creates a beautiful ambiance, and a wood stove for staying warm on those extra chilly Alaska nights.brbrThe cabin does not have plumbing, however, it does still have many of the same amenities that a typical house would have. There is a sink with a water jug that can be used for drinking, dishes, handwashing, and any other use you can think of. There is a private outdoor shower with a view that is available from May until September, as well as a large Japanese style cedar soaking tub. Then once your equipment is ready i will teach you how to look for and spot the aurora in the night sky.
