Apartment Villa Antony private heated pool, gym, quiet- mountain environment

We have to say it was the most enjoyable holiday.The hosts couldn’t do enough for us, we arrived and we had homemade wine,fresh baked bread,and the local ham,they even gave us some honey from their bee hives,took us to the local supermarket so we could stock up and even baked the local dish which was amazing and I now make at home myself. The 2 apartments were spotlessly clean and had plenty of fresh towels. The pool area was also very clean and well maintained again with plenty of towels.My granddaughter loved the pool and it was the perfect temperature for us all. We home to return September but if not definitely next year. Overall everything was perfect including the lovely hosts Karen Mark Dion Lauren and baby Willow xxx

Our trip was amazing. The owners are very very kind and friendly people!! The villa is amazing as well. Is very quiet and fully equipped! The owners provided us with everything we needed. In one word: fantastic! I recomend this villa to anyone who wants to have a relaxed, quiet and memorable holiday! Thank you again!

We had a fabulous holiday at Villa Antoni. Everything is as good, if not better than it looks in the photos! The villa is spacious and immaculately clean, with lovely views from the balconies, in a very quiet area. Our 2 teenage girls loved the pool and all the outdoor activities that are available around Gata/Omis (only 10min drive). Gata is a lovely, rural village which has a small supermarket and 'Konoba' (pub/restaurant) which was a 10 min walk, with good local food (incl lovely pizza). The owners of the villa, Marija and Jure live on the ground floor and are exceptionally nice. They had noticed on my passport that it was my birthday while we were there, and Marija cooked us a meal of a local speciality and served it beside the pool!! When we arrived, they had bread, juice, lovely homemade red wine, homemade cured ham, watermelon and their own honey (Jure is the local beekeeper). They also have a vegetable garden solely for the use of the apartment. We would not hesitate to book again if we return to the same area - it really was the perfect destination for a great family holiday.

We had a lovely stay at Villa Antoni and want to thank Jure and Marija for their excellent hospitality. We were a family of five and the two apartments were very clean, spacious and well equipped. The outside area was spotless and well maintained but it was Jure , Marija and their family that made the stay for us. On arrival we had wine, honey, cold meats and fruit and then throughout our stay we not only had access to a vegetable plot just for us but we were offered lots of fresh fruit and vegetables grown in their garden which were delicious. Additionally we were invited as their guests to a local festival in the village with traditional singing and dancing and afterwards to share a meal of food provided by the villagers. We had a wonderful night. We thank them for helping us have a fabulous holiday and would recommend this property. It's a great location away from the busier resort of Omis but only ten minutes away by car. There is a local restaurant serving delicious pizzas in the village as well as a shop within walking distance and a daily van stopping outside the house with fresh bread, pastries and milk. The property is close to Split and Trogir and the beautiful coastline as well. We also recommend rafting along the stunning river Cetina for a great family fun day out. We loved Croatia and would like to return.

We stayed here in July 2016 (family of 4 with grown up children and another couple). We were surprised and a little concerned that there was no reviews from previous guests. There was no need to be concerned. The villa is very private even though the owners live downstairs. They are very considerate hosts. Jure cleans and manages the garden and pool while Marija is the main contact during the stay and we communicated mainly through Google translate on her smart phone. The hot water failed one day and she got it fixed the same day. Jure is the local bee keeper and they provided us with some bread, honey, home cured ham and local wine on our arrival. We could also select from a small vegetable plot. These are benefits of the countryside location. The two apartments were clean and comfortable. They can be locked separately or locked as a combined unit through their common door. The apartment with one bedroom is slightly more roomy and has the better laid out kitchen and balcony. The apartment with two bedrooms is also nice. We liked the fact that it had some windows with insect mesh so they could be left open without letting insects in. Each apartment had a single aircon unit in the kitchen dining area. The kitchens were adequately equipped and we could cook meals for the six of us. There is a kettle and filter coffee machine but no tea pot or toaster. A van delivers bread and pastries between 9.15 and 10.00 daily, you have to listen out for his horn or enjoy a coffee on the balcony while you wait for him. You should be aware that Gata is in the country above Omis and restaurants and beaches are a 10 minute car journey away and parking in Omis is a bit hit and miss. We were bitten a couple of times by a horse fly by the pool there are always a few bees flying to and fro which makes spotting the horse fly harder. This made us a bit jittery but we still enjoyed it for swimming. The badminton rackets and shuttlecocks were also a bit worse for wear making playing with them impractical. The only other downside is that the local dogs do bark much of the night so it's worth bringing ear plugs or sleeping with the windows shut and the aircon at full blast. Despite these minor gripes we felt lucky to find such a well positioned and well equipped villa at a fair price and would have no hesitation at recommending it to others or visiting again.
