Sit out on the wrap around porch take in the views and listen to the sounds of the river. In the evening enjoy the cozy cabin with a good book, or watch a DVD. This custom built log cabin has amazing character. Custom cabinets in the kitchen is just one of the many exquisite features. The claw foot tub in the bathroom actually came out of the old Yellowstone Hotel in Yellowstone National Park. The bedroom is located in the loft area and is accessed by a custom ladder shown in the photos. Due to the nature of the bedroom access this cabin will not allow any children under the age of 10 years old. The remote nature of this cabin is not only part of its charm but also means there is not internet and NO CELL SERVICE or land line. The closest cell service is about 5 miles up the road and AT&T only. Cooke City is located a short drive from the cabin, along with Lily Lake and many other features. Take a drive across the Beartooth Highway, fish in the river (with a valid Wyoming fishing license, or go explore all the hiking and adventures the Beartooth Mountains have to offer. brbrDisclaimersbr*This property does not have central AC as temps in the summer cool down at night. We're are roughly 50 miles from Yellowstone.brYou will have full access to the deck but have to share with guest on the other side of the cabin. There is great hiking possibilities on our property, you are more than welcome to take advantage of that. We have horses grazing on the property from time to time, they would love it if you would like to say hello to them. We have a charcoal grill that you are welcome to use (you supply the charcoals). We have a bon fire spot by the water canal, please enjoy it. There is a mini fridge and a coffee maker in your cabin as well.brbrbrWe’re sad to inform you that our nice big Akita dog, Rooster, passed away on November 1st 2023. It has been a very hard time for our family as he was the best family member we could have ever wished for. We know that he will be greatly missed by our guests as well. It will take some getting used to by us all, to not have him keeping an eye out for us all.brOn that note, we’re excited to announce that we welcomed a new little Akita pup to our family. He was born October 5th 2023. His name is Napoleon “Dynamite” Bonaparte. He is the runt of the litter and just the sweetest little guy. We know we can’t replace Rooster, but if Napoleon is just a little bit of what he was, he will too be a great part of our family. brbr We also have Ellie-girl. She’s such a little firecracker and filled with personality. She is funny and loving and a great addition to our family. Furthermore, we rescued and golden retriever mix, Rita the fall of 2022 and she’s a sweetheart. She and Ellie really likes to get themselves into some trouble. All friendly, loving dogs. So, if you’re a dog person, this is most definitely the place to be.br

Our cabin is on Heart Mountain and has a great view of Pat O'Hara Mountain from the comfortable deck. We have a kitchenette which includes a toaster oven, small refrigerator, hot plate and coffee maker. The bathroom has a tub and shower. We can fit a couple very comfortably, we offer a queen bed and an option for an air mattress, which can fit in the bedroom or can be placed out on the deck for a beautiful night under the stars. I do have a twin folding bed that can be used also.brOur property is 104 acres and boarders state land which is beautiful to hike on. The pictures depict a beautiful landscape. If you would like to go for a hike while visiting please contact us so we can give very clear directions on which areas are private land and state access land.brThe cabin is on a secluded part of our property. Our house is 1/4 mile away. Our arena is in front of the cabin so there are times we will be using it, whether that be riding our horses or just playing/working with them on the ground. We have groups come out to do work with the horses different times during the week and we frequent the area for maintenance, checking horse, etc. We are happy to answer any questions or give you ideas of activities in Cody or the surrounding areas. We would also like to give you the key in person, if needed we can arrange a drop off. We live 12 miles north of Cody Wyoming. Highway 120 is in view but there are no visible neighbors. brDue to the area, the only cell service is AT&T.brYellowstone National Park is 65 miles away to the east entrance and northeast entrance. Red Lodge Montana is 50 miles away. The Chief Joseph Scenic Highway starts just 3 miles from our cabin. Lots of options to see some amazing country! brIn the summer Cody offers some fun times!! The Cody Night Rodeo, the Buffalo Bill Center Of The West is an amazing museum to visit, wild horses to go take tours through, river rafting, bike riding, horseback riding , I could go on and on!!brbr
