Located just a 15 minute drive from downtown Hayward, with clear water and easy access to year-round recreation, shopping and dining, The Hideaway is the perfect place to stay for your next family or small friend-group getaway, vacation, or retreat. brbrThe Hideaway is a beautiful lake home featuring a traditional northern Wisconsin feel with a slight modern twist. The home includes an open concept kitchen, dining and living area for your group to enjoy stunning views of the lake. Connect your phone to enjoy your favorite playlists or podcasts on our Sonos speakers (download Sonos app to use speakers). Whether cooking for yourself or a group of eight, mealtime prep is a joy in the fully stocked kitchen (complete with stainless steel appliances, microwave, separate filtered drinking water tap, dishwasher and disposal). The kitchen is stocked with paper towels, kitchen trash bags, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, food storage baggies, etc. Dishwasher detergent and hand soap are also provided. The large island provides abundant prep space, a gas range, granite countertops, and beautiful views all around. Our large dining table comfortably accommodates a group of 8, and the kitchen island seats 4. Just out the living room door is the large, shaded deck where you can enjoy drinks and a meal on the large, granite dining table (seats 6), or simply relax and take in the sights and sounds of the lake. If grilling is your passion, you will love the gas grill overlooking the lakeside fire pit. The deck is the perfect spot to start your day by greeting the sunrise with a cup of coffee, and ending your day by watching the moonrise and stargazing with a glass of wine, a cold beer, a smooth bourbon, or a cup of tea. brbrThe cozy but spacious bedrooms include comfortable mattresses and pillows, along with ample storage space for your clothing. On the main level, the primary bedroom (with king bed) boasts stunning views of the lake. The second bedroom (with queen bed) is also on the main level, and also has partial views of the lake (although not while lying in bed). The main level bathroom contains sink/vanity, toilet, and shower/tub combination. The third bedroom (queen bed, plus two twin beds) is located on the lower level. The lower level bathroom contains sink/vanity, toilet and shower. Oh, and the custom log bar in the basement, well there is not better place to soak in the Northwood's while indoors with great views of the lake. Enjoy the custom log shuffleboard and log poker table, or just sit back and enjoy the (very) good life.brbrAll rooms are over-sized and offer top of the line furnishings and finishes. You really must see this property to truly appreciate its beauty and grandness.brbrGreat for family gatherings, corporate retreats and just a reunion of friends. brbrMultiple restaurants and bars are accessible by boat on Round Lake, even a marina with gas to refill so you can spend all day on the water! You do have to go under the bridge to get to Round Lake, which can be a tight fit, but not far at all. We have a newer 22' pontoon boat that is available for rent as well. If the water is really high, there is a chance you might not fit, but this has not happened to us over the last 5 years.brbrOff the water, there is a winery and casino (age 18+) within 5 miles. There is also mini golf, go carts, log rolling and much, much more to explore!brbrWe also have 3 kayaks (1 is a double person) and a paddle boat that are included with your rental. And again, we have to mention that we have a brand new pontoon also available for an additional charge. brbrIn summary, Custom built Wilderness Log Home features 6 BR, 4 BA, stately family room, gourmet kitchen with island and double ovens, full log interior and accents, master suite with Jacuzzi tub, 2 laundry rooms & fully finished walkout lower level. Max guests - 16 and offers a perfect retreat for entertaining. Attached 2 car & detached 2 car garages.
