It can also be reached by train to Lilydale linking a frequent and regular bus service to Warburton. brWarburton sits astride the Yarra River approximately 20 kms from the Upper Yarra Dam (well worth a visit). Walks criss-cross the river or why not take a dip For other walks the choice is endless ranging from a 15 minute stroll to an all day hike. The Warburton Bicycle Trail “Warby Trail” from Lillydale to Warburton was the old railway line and is now well used by both cyclists and walkers. brShould you want to 'ruin' a good walk try the inexpensive and grossly under used yet superb local golf course (club hire available). There are also tennis courts, a bowling green and a sports arena.
