It can also be reached by train to Lilydale linking a frequent and regular bus service to Warburton. brWarburton sits astride the Yarra River approximately 20 kms from the Upper Yarra Dam (well worth a visit). Walks criss-cross the river or why not take a dip For other walks the choice is endless ranging from a 15 minute stroll to an all day hike. The Warburton Bicycle Trail “Warby Trail” from Lillydale to Warburton was the old railway line and is now well used by both cyclists and walkers. brShould you want to 'ruin' a good walk try the inexpensive and grossly under used yet superb local golf course (club hire available). There are also tennis courts, a bowling green and a sports arena. For those who prefer a swimming pool rather than the Yarra a ten minute drive to Yarra Junction will answer the need. brThere are numerous cafes and shops and the township is well served with excellent produce from the bakery, butcher and IGA store. brWithin half an hour’s drive you can reach the summit of Donna Buang, visit the cellar doors of several excellent wineries, take a trip on Puffing Billy, go to the Races at Healesville, take a picnic to the acre Lotus Garden and or merely enjoy a scenic drive through the wooded hills and rolling countryside. brbrbrbrbr

The two main bedrooms have queen sized beds and there's a kids room with a bunk bed.brThe house also has great outdoor areas with an East facing deck that looks out over the Upper Yarra Valley and a stone patio with a funky fire pit. brWarburton is a cool mountain town with plenty of options for hikers and bikers. The house is 500 meters from the Aqueduct trail that winds through the forest. The Warburton - Lilydale rail trail is popular with families. More adventurous riders can take on Mt Donna Buang, Reefton Spur and the Acheron Way. brWarburton has plenty of great cafes, unique shops, and a popular swimming hole in the centre of town, and there's wineries down valley for tastings.brThe house is located on the lower slopes of Mt Donna Buang which has snow play and toboggan run in winter.
