It enjoys lovely views of the mountains from the balcony at the front and is a short drive from the shops and cafes in Warburton.

One of the great features of Azalea House is the large, open plan ground floor Kitchen/Living/Dining Room with a wood-heater to keep you cosy in winter. There is 2 Televisions and plenty of DVDs to keep you entertained. It also has fully equipped kitchen and dining table to cater for many.

On the ground floor is the master bedroom with wardrobe and queen size bed. The 2nd bedroom also has a wardrobe, queen sized bed and a cot, There are 2 bathrooms, one with bath, 2 separate toilets , vanities and 1 shower.

On the second floor: the 3rd bedroom has 2 King Singles or beds can be configured to another queen bed. The 4th bedroom has queen sized bed and access to the upstairs balcony.

There is also the large rumpus room upstairs with a television along with books and DVD's.

Couples, young families, extended families or groups up to a maximum of 8 people can therefore relax, cook, eat, drink, sit and sleep in comfort. Individual bookings secure the whole house. Relax, watch the sun go down from the balcony, enjoy the BBQ and entertainment area at rear of property. Azalea House is a very short drive to Warburton town-ship and within a 500 metre walk to La La Falls, one of Warburton’s finest Forrest Walks.

Why stay in Warburton

In our opinion the urban sprawl of Melbourne ends well before you reach Warburton, but is only just over an hour’s drive from its centre. It can also be reached by train to Lilydale linking a frequent and regular bus service to Warburton.
Warburton sits astride the Yarra River approximately 20 kms from the Upper Yarra Dam (well worth a visit). Walks criss-cross the river or why not take a dip For other walks the choice is endless ranging from a 15 minute stroll to an all day hike. The Warburton Bicycle Trail “Warby Trail” from Lillydale to Warburton was the old railway line and is now well used by both cyclists and walkers.
Should you want to 'ruin' a good walk try the inexpensive and grossly under used yet superb local golf course (club hire available). There are also tennis courts, a bowling green and a sports arena. For those who prefer a swimming pool rather than the Yarra a ten minute drive to Yarra Junction will answer the need.
There are numerous cafes and shops and the township is well served with excellent produce from the bakery, butcher and IGA store.
Within half an hour’s drive you can reach the summit of Donna Buang, visit the cellar doors of several excellent wineries, take a trip on Puffing Billy, go to the Races at Healesville, take a picnic to the acre Lotus Garden and or merely enjoy a scenic drive through the wooded hills and rolling countryside.

Communication with host was thorough, quick turnaround for confirmation and clear instructions towards check in/out process. House was as expected - a little dated inside but heaps of space - could comfortably sleep 10 which was way more than we needed. Gas burned a bit slow on the stove top but that just added 5 minutes to our cook time - no big deal at all!The fire was a great little luxury - especially on the day where we had 40 mm of rain. Kept us nice and cosy inside. There were heaters and fans provided in each room as well as some rooms with ceiling fans. No air conditioning which could be a problem with comfort on those 30 degree days in summer. Pet friendly was a definite benefit - a nice and secure backyard provided opportunity for us to leave the dog at the accommodation and explore the National Park and do various other activities. Overall, the house is in a fantastic, quiet court. It's a 2 minute drive to the main shops and attractions of Warburton. You can walk the trek into town (we did) but the hilly nature of the town makes this a harder task with a complaining 4 year old. Clean, tidy and had everything we needed without the modern luxuries. We would probably stay here again!

The house is quite old and needs alot of attention on arrival the outside back wall was dirty and covered in cobwebs we had trouble opening the key lock it was jammed shut, the back door has dropped and makes a loud noise when opening and closing it scraps on cement floor. The house is old but was clean, there is no air conditioner but all rooms have fans. The hot water didnt work so a plumber was called and problem was solved, there is no clothes line and tv on bottom floor didnt work , this house is perfect for large groups as lots of beds and 2 bathrooms just needs some tlc on outside .shutting door,it scaps on cement

The location is great, and we were pleased to get a last-minute booking in Warburton over the holidays. The house is spacious and the rooms are fine. The kitchen is spartan, no frills or niceties. No added flourishes we have come to expect of short term rental accommodation--teabags, milk in the fridge, extra kitchen bin bags, no internet, etc. The stove only has 1 burner that gets hot enough to cook on properly. There is mould in the bathroom and the dryer blows mould and steam into the bedroom next to it, which is not great for allergies. The roof is not insulated at all and there is no air con, but there are fans. Look, it's fine, but the house is old and not a huge effort made to feel like home.

Nice quiet neighbourhood. The house has a relaxing feel but strong mould smell, once warmed up and aired isn't too bad also needs a note letting others know to turn gas on for hot water and stove. Close to town, with nice little shops

Lovely old house with heaps of bedrooms. Fireplace with wood and paper ready to go, kept us toasty warm. Kookaburras and other native birds surround the property.

We stayed during a mini winter break and we found the house so cosy and comfortable. A lovely wood fire which heated the whole house, all beds comfortable and great living space for all. We were able to put on a DVD for the kids from the huge selection provided, and took two trips to Lala Falls, which is only a few hundred meters away. Great location! We would definitely come again. Thank you to the owners for a lovely stay
