Great artists were born and worked here, Giotto, Brunelleschi, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo. The genes of the Renaissance were here at home and have left their mark exceptional. Beautiful, historic, full of sophisticated shops and quality craftsmanship, and close to the vine hills of the Chianti region, Florence is one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in Europe.brbrThe ancient centerbrThe charming historical center of the city never fails to arouse interest with its countless masterpieces: the architecture of the churches and colored marbles remember the past splendor of Florence and the part he played in the development of culture and art of the Renaissance. The heart of the city and the historical and religious center is the Piazza del Duomo, the site of a monument of great value: the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, rich in works of art and dominated by the majestic dome of Brunelleschi. The Baptistery of San Giovanni ( Baptistery of St. John), a magnificent example of Florentine Romanesque architecture, is located in front of the Cathedral, in front of the Bell Tower, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture in Florence. The magnificent Loggia del Bigallo full grandeur of the square. Behind the cathedral is the magnificent Museo dell'Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore, exhibits a valuable collection of works of art that originally was inside the Cathedral, Baptistery, and Campanile.brbrThe historic center of civic life is the Piazza Della Signoria, home of the 14th-century Loggia of the Signoria and Loggia of the Lanzi, it is adorned with ornate carvings and famous: think the Neptune fountain and Palazzo Della Signoria, otherwise known as Palace Vecchio one of the landmarks of the city. Wonderful park of Palazzo Pitti, Boboli Gardens, extends along the ' hill of the same name; these magnificent gardens in the Italian style blend perfectly natural elements for the architecture, statues, and fountains contained within.brbrThe regionbrThe roots of all are in Tuscany - from big to small things. Piero Della Francesca's fresco is the spirit of a region that has spent most of his money on beauty and quality. The perfection of the Tuscan culture can be found in a bowl of Ribollita soup, made with cabbage and served with seasonal oil d ' olive oil freshly squeezed, or tasted in a bottle of Brunello di Montalcino Riserva ; but it can also be found in one of the many free delights of the region, its landscape painting, its thermal water reservoirs, or some of its beaches still poorly understood.brThese things are not present in the rest of Italy, but Tuscany has a unique concentration of them. It also combines fierce pride and attention to detail, such as the protection of the territory, complex and irritating but also simple and basic to the conservation of the region.brTuscany is a collection of cities, Siena, Lucca, Arezzo, Pisa, Cortona, each outstanding for its harmony and beauty. Then there are villages, named in Italian Borghi, San Gimignano, Cortona, Pienza, Volterra, Montepulciano, and many others. In the countryside villas, country houses, farmhouses, cottages that tell an ancient rural life. This great man's work is identified with the epic landscape.

Great bright apartment in Florence, perfect for a family or a group!

Firenze, Toscana, Italy

This large bright apartment is on the 3rd floor of an old building, but fortunately there is an elevator! The apartment has been recently renovated, added new furniture and furnishings. There are big windows overlooking Florence's roofs, so there is a lot of natural light. brbrMy mother is a great interior designer, I know everything That was done here Has Been designed by her. We did not change much of the structure of the house. We only divided the space inside in order to make the rooms comfortable blackberries.brShe DECIDED to use a lot of vintage furniture. So we went all over Italy looking for armchairs, tables, lamps, bedside lamps, wardrobes etc. Then there are armchairs, sofas, cupboards and tables from the 50's and the 60's that we bought and restored. brI think her majors ability was keeping a really good balance between the look of the contemporary architecture and furniture, the antiques and the refined touch of the warm and historic building. brbrCeilings are high and there are wooden floors Throughout the house. The kitchen is a dishwasher and a large fridge.brOne of the three bedrooms has an attached private bathroom and a large double bed. This is the quietest room in the house Because there are no roads under its double-glazed windows. During the night Seems to be away from the city!brThe other two bedrooms are spacious and have high ceilings Also too. One of this has a loft made During the last renovation in order to take full advantage of the large space. In this bedroom there is a double bed, and the sofa bed can be opened if the guests are blackberries than six. brObviously We provide clean sheets and towels for all the guests. I collect them every week in a laundry room. Hygiene is our first mission! brbrUnfortunately, I have to use a sentence Which is really overused by all the hoteliers but ... all of my guests, When They sign our guest book write That it is really like being home away from home. brThe place is very elegant and beautiful, but very welcoming and homey at the same time. brI know that's the essence; it's very elegant but very informal. Everybody feels like at home, so they can pretend it's their house, going to the living room, preparing coffee, watching TV.brbrThe house is located in a strategic position in the heart of Florence, few steps far from Piazza Santo Spirito, Pitti Palace, Ponte Vecchio and the Boboli Garden, in a limited traffic area and the Generally sheltered from the noise of the city.
