Bedrooms 3 and 4 each have their own bathrooms en suite. Bedrooms 5 and 6 are upstairs and share bathroom 4. Bedroom 5, with 4 twin beds, also includes a seating area and a door opening to the upper deck. brbrWith a large kitchen, bar area, and two refrigerators you will have plenty of space to entertain. Bath towels and all linens are provided, just bring towels for the beach.brCold a/c will keep you nice and cool between fishing trips.br br You can enjoy fishing day and night on the private lighted pier. For boaters, there is easy access to both East and West Matagorda bays. We are located on a private road, so you don't have to worry about cars speeding by like the busy main beach road. Beautiful Matagorda beach is just a short 5 minute drive away. The public boat ramp at Riverbend is only about half a mile away.brThe patio area below the house is concreted and always cool and breezy. Perfect for family gatherings, grilling, or a good crawfish, shrimp or crab boil. Be sure to bring string and chicken necks, the crabs are always biting off the pier. brFor nature lovers, the birds are always enjoyable! Many species can be seen from the deck, including pelicans, herons, gulls, pipers and if you're lucky maybe even a Bald Eagle! brThe house faces West bay, and in the evening the sunsets are beautiful. The living area is comfortable with Dish satellite channels on a roku Hisense smart TV for streaming services. WiFi is available. The king bedroom and loft bedroom have smart TVs for use with Netflix/prime/Hulu and other streaming services. Check out the white cabinet in the living room for tons of options for family game night. Grab a book from one of the bedrooms and relax on the deck. The kitchen is well appointed with all the dishes, flatware, and cookware you will need. Microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer, and dishwasher are all available for your use. Dining area has seating for 6 and the eat-in bar accommodates 3. Upstairs you will find a loft bedroom with two twin beds and a full size bed, as well as another full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. The house spreads out across 2 beachfront lots and has 360 degree views of beach and wetlands. The ocean can be seen from every room in the house. As one of our guests said, Pictures don't do this house justice.brbrThe first floor is a completely open floor plan, perfect for entertaining family and friends. The house is uncluttered and open, allowing for everyone to spread out and find their perfect spot to relax (Personally, I recommend the screen porch). You will enjoy 360 degree views of beach and bay. The house boasts a large modern kitchen with island seating. The kitchen is open to the dining and living areas. There is a large screened in porch off the kitchen with a dining table and couch. It truly is the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee, listen to the ocean, and watch the pelicans fly over the house.brbrUpstairs you will find 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The primary bedroom has a king size bed, ensuite bathroom, and large private balcony. As with all the bedrooms, you will enjoy unobstructed ocean views. The guest room also has a king size bed and shares a bathroom with the bunk room. The bunk room has 2 bunk beds (4 twin beds) and a twin daybed that can be pulled out into a king size bed. The bottom bunks are adult tested and approved. To ensure guest comfort, I do not recommend the top bunks for adult guests. The guest room and bunkroom also have doors opening out to their own shared balcony.brbr'512 Beach House' is conveniently located only minutes from the historic town of Matagorda. Matagorda is a hidden gem that offers visitors many activities, including fishing, bird watching, beachcombing, shelling, swimming, surfing, kayaking, and stargazing.
