To check in, park under the carport of The Victorian and walk inside to fill out the paperwork.brbrThe condo is 474 sq ft. It sleeps 4. There is a mini fridge, however it DOES NOT have a freezer. There are laundry rooms in buildings 1, 3, and 9.brbrI bought a Kuerig. There should be 2 K cups and 4 creamers left out to start. There is a hot tub, a fitness center and picnic/BBQ areas. brbrWhat's included: While we provide our guests with self check-in information and instructions, you can call us with any questions you may have at any time. brbrYou certainly COULD stay here without a car - you can walk to shopping, eateries and the beach, there is public transportation nearby, and there are several local and nationally branded taxi services as well as ride share (Uber, Lyft) programs in place as well as meal deliveries (UberEats, ASAP (formerly WAITR) and DoorDash available as well. We provide self check in instructions 24-72 hours prior to arrival - and when you are on vacation - YOU ARE ON VACATION. Should you need to reach us, however, we are but a phone call or email away and ready to assist you. We are happy to answer any questions at any time, but to ensure we give you the correct code we cannot provide access instructions earlier than this.brbrBed linens for all beds, one bath, hand and wash cloth for each guest that the unit welcomes. You will be close to shopping and eateries - so whether you plan to experience Galveston's culinary adventures or save money by cooking in (some or all of your meals) it's convenient from this central Seawall Boulevard Location.brbrThe Dawn condominium complex – like almost every condominium complex and hotel in Galveston, charges a parking/resort/amenity fees. This is not a charge from My Galveston Getaway and is paid directly to the complex upon your arrival. And we are unable to pre-pay this fee on your behalf. They will issue a parking permit and may issue wristbands that identify guests who are authorized at the complex. They will also provide guests with the codes for the gates to enter the property - both drive-through and walk through, pools, and fitness center The charge is $40 per vehicle for stays of 1-3 nights, $50 per vehicle for stays of 4-29 nights, and $100 per vehicle for stays of 30 nights and longer. We are unable to collect this in advance and pay it to the Dawn on your behalf. We don’t get to make the rules, we just play by them!brbrMany of our owners have switched out to “Smart” TV’s – so bring your login information with you to sign in to your own subscription services, and don’t forget to log-out before leaving.brbrThe Dawn complex does not allow renters to have a pet – so if you travel with Fido or Fifi – please check out the other My Galveston Getaway managed properties that ARE dog friendly. While true service animals are an exception – you very well may be asked by the complex to provide the verification. Birds in Paradise is a top floor condo on Galveston's famed Seawall welcoming up to 6 guests - fully equipped kitchen with full sized appliances, 5 BEDS - King, Queen, and Bunk Beds, too!brbrThe master bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom a queen, and in the hallway alcove you will find twin bunks.brbrThere are 1 1/2 baths with a tub/shower in one area - and two areas each with a toilet and sink - one accessed through the master bedroom, the other through the hallway.brbrWhile Maravilla is a gulf front property, it is not beach front just yet – we’ve heard that the sand will be extended to this area in fall of 2023 - there are stairs that lead to the water and people walk down those stairs to fish and swim frequently - but not a great place for a family picnic or sunbathing as there are large rocks in this area - the nearest sandy beach is approximately .75 miles to the west. brbrDon't let this deter you as the complex has 3 pools (1 heated) a hot tub, outdoor volleyball, a fitness room and so much more to offer. Many folks come for the beach and never leave the complex except to eat! Not a better place in Galveston for you to stay.brbrThe whole place is yours! You will be close to shopping and eateries - so whether you plan to experience Galveston's culinary adventures or save money by cooking in (some or all of your meals) it's convenient from this central Seawall Boulevard Location.brbrThe Victorian condominium complex – like almost every condominium complex and hotel in Galveston, charges a parking/resort/amenity fees. This is not a charge from My Galveston Getaway and is paid directly to the complex upon your arrival. They will issue a parking permit and may issue wristbands that identify guests who are authorized at the complex. They will also provide guests with the codes for the gates to enter the property - both drive-through and walk through, pools, hot tubs, fitness center and the WiFi code which is changed monthly. It is a complex-wide WiFi system. The charge is $40 + tax and includes up to 2 parking permits. This is for stays that are up to 7 consecutive nights in duration. For stays of 8-31 days it is $80 + tax, and for extended stays it is $70 + tax per month. We are unable to collect this in advance and pay it to the Victorian on your behalf.
