Loads of history will keep you busy throughout this area. brThis cozy home may be small, but has everything you will need! Newly renovated home, boasting granite kitchen counter tops, to a stacked washer and drier for guests staying with us longer! Loads of parking for guest pulling trailers or multi vehicles.brNext Door We have the Original Historic LockMaster House, which has been moved to its now permanent home right next door! Come Visit the heart of the Rideau and stay in the original Newboro LockMasters house built in 1863. This home has been moved from its original location on the historic Rideau Canal at Newboro Locks, to it's new home minutes up the road. This home boasts a beautiful hiking trail on decommissioned CP Railway tracks which lead past conservation wetlands, to the quaint town's community park. Short walk to marina's, shopping, and dining in Newboro. A short 5 minute drive is the historic towns of Westport, or 20 minute drive to heritage town of Perth.brDown stairs of the Original Lockmasters House you will find the #worldssmallestshop, or Newboro Soap Company. Our hours are Tuesday to Sunday 10- 4. We also have a 2 bedroom house next door that will accommodate up to 4 persons. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a walk out to the deck. The third room is on the main floor and has an open office space (no door) with a queen size murphy/wall bed. This room has a room divider for privacy. The second floor has two bedrooms and a bathroom. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the second one has a double bunk bed with four single beds. Enjoy barbecuing outdoors, the warm soothing jets of the hot tub, while taking-in the stunning views of the sunset.
