Over 500 feet of waterfront ensures absolute privacy and tranquility during your stay. The cottage is situated in a quiet and tranquil area surrounded by woodland, and is only 30 minutes away from the village of Lakefield, 2 hours from Toronto, and 3 hours from Ottawa.brbrThe main cottage includes 1200 sq ft of fully furnished living space, with 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, and open concept kitchen, dining room and living room. The kitchen includes stainless steel appliances and quartz counter tops. Kitchen and living room each have a walkout to the deck overlooking the lake for easy entertaining indoors or outdoors. A screened-in Muskoka room offers shaded open-air dining and relaxing space. The lake is visible from all parts of the living room, dining room and Muskoka room. brbrA flight of natural stone steps take you from cottage level down to the fire pit and dock. The 50 foot dock is shaded in the calm of morning as sunrise strikes the western shore, and turns sunny by mid-morning. Sunsets are spectacular whether viewed from dock or deck. There is a shallow entry into the lake which is ideal for swimming for children, pets and people who cannot swim well. The lake gets deeper as you enter the lake, and is 23 feet deep in the middle of the lake. brThree bedroom, 1 bathroom waterfront cottage located on Redmond bay which is a part of Baptiste Lake.brbrWe are currently not supplying any bedding or linens, please bring your own bedding (sheets, comforters, towels, etc. for the stay. We do supply a tea towel, pillows, a bath mat and bathroom hand towel. brbr5-10 mins from the town of Bancroft. brSwim, fish, boat, kayak or just relax on the newly built oversized dock. brbrBoat launch to Baptiste is next door, or go out on our paddle toys and explore the bay. brbrFully stocked kitchen with all appliances you may need as well as a propane BBQ. brbrCoffee and basic condiments are made available to you along with toilet paper and paper towel. brbrWIFI available for all guests. Please note we are in a rural area, so the internet can be slow at times. Netflix and prime video are provided and seem to work fine.brbrHigh efficiency furnace and air conditioner.brbrThe lake is pristine and full of wildlife but it is shallow (5-6 deep) so please be cautious jumping off the dock. Cannon-balls and shallow dives seem to be just fine. There is a clearing around the dock for weed free swimming. brbrDue to the remote location of the cottage, there is no municipal garbage pick up. All guests are required to take all their garbage with them upon check-out. Local dump site times and locations are listed on the fridge. The closest dump site is 6 mins from the cottage. There are plenty of garbage and recycling bags for your convenience. brbrContactless check in. Check in is at 3pm, check out 11am. brbrAutomatic discount available if you book for 5 or more nights. brbrPlease be aware that May and June are bug season.
