We invite you to enjoy cozy cottage on Howe Island The cottage offers an unforgettable stay where you will enjoy views of St.Lawrance River, ships passing by as they slowly go up and down and sunset views during your dinner.brCottage has two bedrooms with double beds and a third bedroom with two bunk beds, living room has a sofa that converts in double bed. Cottage has fully equipped kitchen with propane stove and fridge, toaster , French press coffee maker; there is no microwave. We also provide BBQ with a tank of propane, picnic table, fire pit, Muskoka chairs, for you to enjoy. We provide 4 single kayaks and life jackets 4 adults and 2 kids for you to enjoy as well.brbrPlease note, we are striving to provide relaxing off grid experience where you will be disconnected from today's technologies and disturbances. There is a strong cellular signal. We provide 50/10 WIFI brSOLAR PANELS and batteries provide electricity during your stay. Remember, should you overuse the power, you will end up having none available to you until the sun will power the batteries again. Power outage is part of off grid experience. In true emergency, there is generator with 20 L of gas for power back up.brbrbrWater to the cottage provided from the river and, therefore, is not suitable for drinking. Water is safe for bathing, dish washing and cleaning. We will provide 4Gal bottle of drinking water per stay. Should you believe you may need more , please bring it with you.brbrWe all are striving for conservation of resources/energy and water is one of them. Should you wish to bring paper plates, it will provide you with fire starter, save water and , best of all, gives you break from washing plates.brbrbrHowe Island is an island located in the St. Lawrence River in close proximity to towns of Gananoque and Kingston and is part of the Thousand Islands chain. The towns of Gananoque and Kingston, make the resources of those communities convenient and are minutes away by car or boat. If you happen to be a birdwatcher, grab your binoculars and enjoy the abundance of feathered friends that live in our area.brbrFor much of the year, this area is a cyclists’ paradise as it is situated near some of the best biking routes around. There is easy water access for those who like to swim. There is also a small 26' dock that is suitable for small watercraft such as rowboats, canoes, kayaks, Seadoos, etc. brbrThe property is in a small rural community just outside of town with only a small number of neighbours. The main road ends at a small ferry that goes to Howe Island. This home itself is located off the main ferry road down a gravel laneway that has 2 forks and is located on the left-hand fork which is shared with only one other family. You will see a large metal quonset structure adjacent to the home which is used to store grounds keeping equipment.brbrAmple parking is available on the home's circular driveway that also includes 2 additional parking spaces. The laneway and main ferry road are both very walkable. Town is just 5 minutes east by car.brbrThis house has one RING Video Doorbell which is located at the entrance to the front porch and only has a view of the sidewalk. Sound recording has NOT been enabled and the device will be deactivated after guests check-in

On your way down the hill you will pass the entrance road to our neighbors waterfront property.brbrThe road down to the water is gravel/stone and is more than wide enough to walk. It is a hill down/hill up to the waterfront so running shoes/walking shoes are suggestedbrbr*Please note for safety/liability reasons we DO NOT permit any type of motorized vehicle/car to be driven down the hill/up the hill to the waterfront area at anytime.brbrIf you have any questions about accessing the waterfront area please contact us :)brGuest accessbrThe rental includes the entire 2,600 sq feet house and attached garage. 5 acres of land, waterfront docks and sitting areas. The property is on an island and only accessible by ferry. The ferry runs 24/7, you can drive your vehicle onto the ferry and the ferry ride is approximately 5 minutes in length.brbr
