The Casita is completely private and is heated and cooled by mini-splits in the living room and bedroom. There is secure parking for a sedan style vehicle, but it cannot accommodate larger vehicles like large trucks or SUVs.brThe spacebrWalk into the past with all of the comforts of the present! The living room has an antique art deco couch upholstered in luxurious terracotta velvet. The smart tv is logged into HULU and Netflix, or you may log into any of your accounts. There is super high speed wifi and a security system. Sit in the cozy low-slung chair, sip your coffee and gaze outside to New Mexico's beautiful blue skies. The bathroom has new, gold fixtures and a stylish cement tile floor. There is a custom metal sliding door with frosted privacy glass.There is a shower and a small cast iron bathtub with a glass divider. The kitchen is outfitted with hand blown glasses, eco-friendly bamboo bowls and strainers, a microwave, cutting board knife, and 4 place settings. There is a one pot, which can cook all kinds of items, a saucepan, and a cookie sheet and roasting basket (stored in the oven). There is an electric stove, tea pot, coffee maker and french press and a casserole baking dish. The bedroom has a brand new Keetsa King that is so cozy. There are rustic hardwood floors in the bedroom and the living room. There is a little front porch and yard where you can sit outside and enjoy New Mexico's beautiful weather. The yard is fenced for privacy but is not fully fenced to keep dogs inside it.brGuest accessbrYou'll have access to the parking, yard, porch and the entire casita. It's a private space just for your use.brOther things to notebrTo reach this property, you enter through the alley, and I will give you very specific directions on the morning of your arrival. The parking is tight-I have a Volvo Sedan, and I fit perfectly. I’ve seen larger vehicles parked in the space, but it is difficult to maneuver in, and I don’t recommend it if you aren’t skilled at parking in tight spaces. There is on-street parking, but it is not next to the house. You’ll have to walk down the alley past three houses to reach the casita if you park on the street.

Historic 1918 home in downtown Albuquerque, NM. Beautifully furnished with midcentury modern furniture, maple hardwood floors, large area rugs. The kitchen was remodeled with Ikea cabinets 6 years ago. Modern appliances with the exception of a beautiful and functional Chambers gas stove in the kitchen. Bright and sunny, large living room, sunroom with TV, dining room and master suite upstairs. The fireplace with marble hearth and the many windows give this home its charm.brThis beautiful house was our family home for 41 years. It was built in 1918 so it is over 100 years old. We have moved to a new home in the downtown neighborhood now that our children are grown. Downtown Albuquerque is home to many fun activities. If you like to walk short to medium distances you will have pedestrian access to our burgeoning craft brewing industry with taprooms and restaurants, art galleries, concert venues, Old Town, ABQ Convention Center, the Zoo, Botanical Gardens and aquarium. There are museums and bike trails all within walking distance. Casa Flamingo has a ton of character and personality- I hope you love it as much as I do.brbrAPD vehicles are parked on the street, right next to my home - Officers with the Albuquerque Police Department live next door (talk about feeling safe!!!). I also have 2 security cameras on the roof of my home, facing the street & driveway (NO cameras inside, nor in or facing the backyard).brbrThe entire home, the large fenced in backyard and a 2 car driveway are available to guests.brbrThe home features a key less entry keypad and deadbolt, for easy self-checkin. I'm minutes away and can be here if I am requested/needed otherwise, I will not bother you.brbrNetflix (my account), and antenna channels, are available on all 4 TVs throughout my home (in addition to Samsung Smart TV channels in the living room).brbrI provide a Cuisinart coffee pod machine (as well as a regular coffee maker), with an assortment of Kcups, sweetners, creamer, and teas. brbrChildren are welcome and I have a few amenities, as well as electrical outlet covers, but my home is NOT “child proofed” (though I’m more than happy to move decor if requested to). brCaution Areas: br- I have 2 steps going down to the laundry room, and to the EnSuite bedroom.br- I have cacti, and yucca plants in the front, and in the backyard, as well as an agave plant. Please be sure your little ones avoid these small but prickly plants (touching them will hurt). Renters assume full responsibility for the safety of their children when staying on the property.brbrI have smoke and carbon monoxide alarms throughout my home, as well as a first aid kit, and a fire extinguisher (both under kitchen sink).brbr*LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION* Casa Flamingo is 6 miles from the airport and located in Nob Hill, near UNM school/hospital, Pope Joy, Presbyterian, State Fair Grounds, & The Downs Racing. Trendy Nob Hill centers on the iconic Route 66, featuring a concentration of diverse locally owned restaurants, within an eclectic shopping district. You will find beer pubs, antique shops, small galleries, a CoOp, and unique boutiques lining Central Ave (Route 66). brbrAsk any local and they will tell you, Nob Hill is a highly sought after area, and it’s where you want to stay in ABQ. Even cooler, my home is located in the “College View Historic District”, a quiet, safe, and culturally significant area, within Nob Hill. This special district is a 4 block x 4 block section of homes boasting historic examples of Territorial and Pueblo Revival styles, as well as early classic Mediterranean. The neighborhood is established, charming and quiet with a walk score of 85 “very walkable”. A Humble Coffee shop, and Los Cuates, are just a few of the many restaurants within walking distance, along with bars, shops, and stores just a few blocks away. I provide a notebook containing my food recommendations including, 3128 Social House, and Tia B’s La Waffleria as well as fun souvenir shopping at “Masks y Mas”. A gorgeous historic Catholic church is located just down the street and a police officer lives next door - you will feel very safe here. brbr**NO HOT TUB/WHIRLPOOL HERE (this website is glitchy & will not allow me to remove/update the info!!!).
