Marmora, New Jersey, United States
Reconnect with nature, have a ton of fun and save $$$ at this private escape in the woods, only minutes from the boardwalks and beaches in Ocean City, NJ, Strathmere and Sea Isle.brWatch for falling stars in the Jacuzzi, play ping pong and enjoy beverages at the fire pit overlooking a pond. This restored ‘tiny home’ is pet-friendly and comfortably sleeps two adults. You get a three-burner stove, outside shower, refrigerator, coffee maker, kitchenware, dry toilet, linen and plenty of room for a tent.brOur Ramble on Rose camper is perfectly situated for privacy yet only a few minutes from Exit 25 on the Garden State Parkway. It includes a grill and beach chairs/towels. The ping pong table is only yards away inside a ‘big red barn.’ At the main house, 400 yards away, you’ll find an outside shower and the jacuzzi. There’s plenty of room to park and to store your kayaks, surfboards and beach toys.brIf the beach is too crowded (ask us about the best beaches), there are tons of things to do nearby. Walk or jog the abandoned railroad tracks only a few yards away from Ramblin’ Rose, play pickleball in Ocean City, listen for owls, peepers and coyotes at night, watch the hawks ride the thermals during the day, enjoy the free tennis courts at Caldwell Park, less than a half-mile away, enjoy the splendor of the Cameron Wildlife Refuge, 0.8 miles away, visit the air museum in Woodbine or get the best chicken . This is the South Jersey that remains a secret to so many - so close to the beach, yet so different and with so much variety. Here, it’s all yours.brGuest accessbrYou get full access to our Ramblin' Rose, the Jacuzzi, the ping pong table, a heavy bag (with gloves), beach chairs and towels and the outside shower - all in a private, wooded setting. The 'dry toilet' means you go in a plastic bag neatly situated inside the toilet, camping style. When you're finished, simply dispose of the bag in the trash can behind the barn. Honestly, we weren't sure about doing it this way but it works great and there is no smell.brOther things to notebrYour dog is welcome, but please keep it on a leash. Our dog Daisy is great with people, but so-so with other dogs.brThere is also a fold-down bed in the camper suitable for a small child.
