A classic Victorian jewel, the house at 30 Samoset was built in 1874 and is typical of the Queen Anne style. It is large and asymmetric with a wrap-around porch. The east side also has a small deck off the kitchen (this is very nice for breakfast). On the west side there is a stoop off the kitchen and a stoop from the shower room, both opening to a fenced yard with a nice brick terrace with table and chairs. The cottage has two full baths, both of which were completely renovated over the past few years. One with a cast iron tub and one with a tiled shower. A completely private outdoor shower made from cedar and accessible by a raised walkway from the back door of the house is the perfect place to clean off after the beach or simply to enjoy the fresh air with the morning shower. Set back from a wide quiet street, the house is a five minute walk from Oak Bluffs downtown and harbor. The covered wraparound front porch is the perfect place to enjoy the morning coffee or dinner on a summer evening. The porch boasts a classic porch swing, wicker rocking chairs and a teak table and chairs set. The extra-large lot means the house offers considerably more privacy than many Campgrounds cottages. There are two reserved parking spots behind the house.brbrIn addition to the two full baths, the first floor has a back hall with a washer and dryer, a full kitchen with a gas range, a dining room and a large living room with a newly refinished pumpkin pine floor. The upstairs has five bedrooms (two are walk-throughs) with one queen bed, one full bed, three twins and one set of bunk beds. The master bedroom is in the front of the house and has a large set of French doors leading to the balcony over the front porch.brbrThe house, originally built in the 1860s, has been in the same family for over fifty years, and has been lovingly maintained.br

This professionally designed & decorated vacation home is great for a quiet get away for one or two couples/families or for a multi-generational family vacation. Located on a quiet dirt road, you'll be away from the noise of downtown Oak Bluffs, but still only a ten minute walk from all the action! Jetty beach is also less than a mile away, so getting there by car, bike or foot is easy. There are two master suites on the second floor both offering luxurious king beds and an additional bedroom with a queen bed. Master suite 1 has a private bath while master suite 2 has a private access to a shared bath, and a home office (complete with wifi and printer/scanner) should you need to get any work done during your week away. And, if the weather should get too hot & muggy, you'll still sleep soundly with the central air conditioning! For your convenience, a full sized washer/dryer is located on the second floor. brThe first floor has an open concept design which is perfect for entertaining, with beautiful cherry hardwood floors throughout. The dining room has a large, casual custom designed table with seating for 8, the living room is generously sized, light and bright and beautifully decorated. It has a rustic beach stone fireplace with a raised hearth, in case the nights get chilly and you'd like to cozy up by the fire. The kitchen has custom cherry cabinetry, granite tops and two sinks -- plus all the cooking supplies you could ever need to whip up a quick breakfast or a gourmet dinner! There is also a lovely, small powder room and 'mud' space to leave your coats and sandy shoes. Off of the living room is a large, mahogany deck with a seating area, all under a retractable awning to keep you cool, as well as a stainless gas grill. On the patio is a handmade reclaimed redwood table and chairs (seats 12) four adirondack chairs and a fire pit, and best of all -- a wood fired pizza oven! The outdoor space is very private, comfortable and spacious. Behind the garage is a bike rack that can hold up to six bikes. And no beach house is complete without a great outdoor shower to wash off the beach sand -- and breathe in the fresh vineyard air while you get clean! We even provide beach chairs for your use on the island. brbrFor those lazy evenings, head down to the basement, get comfortable on the large sectional sofa and watch a movie on the 55 TV! There's plenty of room to spread out for the whole family!
