Cottage

Private Hot Spring | Off Grid | River | Brundage

New Meadows, Idaho, United States

Escape to nature without sacrificing comfort at this one-of-a-kind 220 sq. ft., solar-powered tiny cottage, nestled between McCall and New Meadows—just 2 miles from the Brundage Ski Resort turnoff. The property is also a quick 2-hour drive from Boise. brbrThis cozy cottage is lovingly designed for couples, solo travelers, and families w/ kids 12 & under. This completely off grid eco-friendly retreat offers the perfect balance of seclusion, style and connection with nature. Every minute spent here melts away the stress of our busy lives!brbrHere are just some of the highlights!br- 2 Private natural hot springs just a 6-minute hike from your door. Lower pool ranges from 99F to 104F and upper pool from 89 to 95F.br- Enjoy 1/4 mile of Goose Creek frontage which flows all along the eastern border of the 10 acre propertybr- Surrounded by mountain trails, forests, and fresh alpine airbr- No neighbors for many milesbr- Off-grid setup with solar for power (and propane generator backup), septic, and fresh mountain well waterbr- Outdoor seating, BBQ & fire pitbrbrExplore nearby favorites like Brundage Ski Resort (2 miles), Last Chance Campground (2 miles), Little Ski Hill (4.5 miles), Payette Lake (9 miles), and McCall shopping (like Backcountry Boutique) and eateries (like My Father’s Place, Ice Cream Alley, and Lardo’s Grill).brbrReconnect with nature. Soak under the stars. Breathe mountain air. This is your unplugged Idaho escape. There is truly no other property like this one anywhere. brbrThe path from this cottage to the hot springs requires moderate hiking ability. There are steep stair steps down to the springs path and large boulders at the hot springs themselves. To get into the springs, you will need to step up on a couple of the boulders, then step down into the pool. People with mobility issues may struggle with the initial stairs and getting into the pool.brbrRemember that life off-grid means living a little lighter and a little more rustic which is a very appealing break from the norm! For example, our water tank is small, so hot water is limited—perfect for quick, refreshing showers or a dip in the springs where hot water is unlimited! Also the water system runs through advanced filters which means exceptionally clean water, but with the trade-ff of gentler water pressure. And while we keep the inside of the cabin spotless, the surrounding area is wild, so you may find the occasional souvenir from our furry friends around the property! This is just part of the authentic experience of being in nature. brCAMERAS- During your stay, you may notice cameras around the property. Please note that these are dummy cameras to help deter trespassing and are not actually recording.
