Pele's Kitchen has large organic breakfasts that are fantastic. In Hilo, I love Pineapples, Cafe Pesto, and Hilo Bay Cafe. There is a farmers market in the charming downtown area of Hilo on Wednesdays and Saturdays and the Makuu Farmer's market on Sunday is not to be missed with great food and shopping. There are many gorgeous waterfalls - Rainbow and Akaka Falls should not be missed. I have taken the chocolate farm and vanilla farm tours and thoroughly enjoyed them and all the interesting information and yummy samples. There is a very cool underground Speakeasy called the Hidden Nene. They have fabulously crafted drinks. brbrArguably one of the biggest attractions on our island is the Kilauea Volcano which has been active on and off since December. It is just a 30-minute drive.
