The Summit is ideally located in the heart of the Aska Adventure area in Blue Ridge, GA. Specifically, The Summit is 1/2 mile away from the tubing/float drop in and gem mining; 1/4 mile away from the Toccoa River & Toccoa River Restaurant, in close proximity to hiking trail heads in either direction, yet very close to the Lake Blue Ridge Marina and downtown Blue Ridge for shopping, restaurants, etc.brbrInspired by Southeast Asian travels, The Summit was designed with rustic elegance and as well as a focus on lodge quality comfort. It's easy to find though, as paved roads lead you all the way to the base of the mountain and continue about half of the way up the mountain. To add to the privacy, this mountain community is accessed by a coded gate entry and the back of the cabin and property actually adjoins the national forest. It's not hard to see why deer frequently meander through the property and are easily spotted from the deck around sunrise and sunset. brbrThe cabin itself is constructed of hand hewn pine but the windows of this structure dominate as it boasts an enormous two story front gable and two gables on either side giving the living area and kitchen an abundance of light and awe inspiring views of the natural setting outside. Two fire places, one located on the outside deck, add to the over all warmth and charm. In addition, the deck includes two tables that both seat four comfortably for al fresco dining making it convenient to enjoy your favorite meal while enjoying the beautiful sunset. Breathtaking views as the sun sets over the mountains in the distance add to a wonderful dining experience. The cabin also boasts exquisitely hand carved teak furniture imported from Indonesia (including all of the bedroom furniture) and coupled with the hand scraped hard wood floors add to the rich feel and atmosphere of refined rustic flair. The cabin has four bedrooms which all include king beds, a high definition flat screen television, access to a separate, private bathroom with shower and/or tub and also access to the outdoors without going into the common areas to allow maximum privacy for each guest. The master bedroom has a separate shower and jetted Jacuzzi tub as well as it's own private and very spacious West facing veranda, a perfect place to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. When air temperatures drop below 35°F, the heater automatically shuts off and the pool will cool. The longer the heater is off, the more the water temperature will drop—and the longer it will take to reheat once temperatures rise again. The pool will not begin heating again until the air temperature rises above 35°F, and in colder conditions it may take most or all of the day to reach the target temperature. In these conditions, the pool will not maintain the target temperature of 82–85°F. As a result, there may be only a short window of comfortable swimming, even though the full heating fee still applies.br**Pool heating during colder months is highly weather dependent, and in some cases, heating the pool during this time may simply not be worthwhile.br**In our experience, a heated pool in winter is usually more of a novelty for kids—our own kids will happily jump in even on chilly days. While 85°F sounds warm, that temperature refers to the water and is often not as warm as it sounds, especially once you’re out of the pool. When air temperatures are below 50°F, most adults tend to prefer the hot tub, which provides a much more comfortable and enjoyable experience.
