Secluded Treehouse Cabin Retreat near the Suwannee River and freshwater springs!
Old Town, Florida, United States
Welcome to The Treehouse Cabin Retreat, where time stands still and nature takes center stage. Nestled in nature based Old Town, Florida, our rustic oasis is your invitation to unplug, unwind, and rediscover the simple joys of life. With no Wi-Fi to distract you, immerse yourself in the great outdoors and rekindle connections with your loved ones. If you're a fan of camping or glamping, this retreat is your dream come true, offering the comforts of home amidst a serene, wooded setting.brbrYour days here can be as tranquil or adventurous as you desire. Roast marshmallows and share stories by the large fire pit, sway in the hammock as you lose track of time, challenge your family to outdoor games, and explore the enchanting trails that wind through almost 5 acres of woods. Venture on a short drive to discover the area's natural freshwater springs and parks, or simply escape the hustle and bustle to find solace among the trees. It's an opportunity to let your inner child run free and rejuvenate your spirit.brbrWhat sets us apart is that you get not one, but two incredible structures for your stay. The 700-square-foot rustic cabin with pecky cypress and native wood interior provides a full kitchen, comfortably accommodating 4-5 guests (note climbing steep stairs to get to the lofts), along with a full bathroom. The ~400-square-foot real Treehouse, crafted by the skilled Treehouse Guys of DIY Network, sleeps up to 3, featuring a small single bed in the upper loft and a cozy queen bed on the main floor. Both spaces are equipped with A/C window units and heaters, ensuring your comfort no matter the season. While this may be a rustic escape in the woods, the cabin offers simplicity and coziness, while the Treehouse provides a unique experience like no other. Please be aware that the Treehouse is not insulated, so it can get a bit chilly during a cold snap, and the sound of rain on the metal roof during storms creates a soothing ambiance. For your convenience, there is an additional full bathroom located outside of the cabin, complete with a newly built outdoor shower that guests absolutely love.brbrTo truly immerse yourself in the experience, it's essential to embrace the disconnect. We don't have Wi-Fi, and cell phone reception can be spotty, but that's part of the charm. It's a chance to break free from screens and immerse yourself in the natural world around you. Please review our entire listing, including the rules, for more details about suitability and expectations.brbrIn the spirit of conservation and eco-friendliness, we provide utensils, pots, pans, glasses, plates, and more to minimize plastic use. We kindly ask you to pick up your trash and take recyclables with you to help preserve our beautiful environment.brbrIt's important to note that you're in Florida, where nature reigns supreme. Bugs and creatures are part of the package, from snakes and spiders to woodpeckers, owls, and fireflies. While we do our best to keep the cabin and Treehouse bug-free, you might encounter a critter or two – simply sweep them away. We highly recommend bug spray, especially for outdoor adventures along the trails, and closed-toed shoes.brbrWander the trails, collect fallen firewood, and enjoy a campfire at the fire pit. Cook up a delicious dinner on the grill or in the enormous smoker, all while listening for the calls of Barred Owls in the woods. Make s'mores and lasting vacation memories under the starry night sky, with the possibility of spotting deer, pileated woodpeckers, and even the occasional fox.brbrOld Town is a slice of "old Florida" with no big box stores, shopping malls, or traffic to worry about. It's a place where outdoor enthusiasts find their paradise. Explore nearby Manatee Springs State Park, Fanning Springs, or take to the Suwannee River for boating and fishing. The famous "8 springs in 8 miles" paddle on the Santa Fe River is only 30 miles away. Hike the Nature Coast Trail, kayak at Hart Springs, or drive to Suwannee or charming Cedar Key for unforgettable outings. Within 45 minutes, discover more springs, parks, and activities to fill your days with adventure. We will send you our guidebook with plenty of ideas! brbrFor your convenience, the closest market is Old Town Family Market, with a Dollar General just a few miles away.
